Exact at 9:00p PST this evening, Sunday 8th February 2015, we are experiencing a Venus-Chiron conjunction in Pisces (15.62°). The effects of this conjunction have been felt since 6th February 2015 and will continue to be felt through 10th February 2015.
This 2015 version of Venus conjunct Chiron in Pisces is a bit more profound than its recent predecessors. There seems to be a lot more at stake this time around as the sense of interconnection that Pisces can bring into our collective consciousness is strangely more palpable in our shared everyday experience.
Pisces is the Zodiac sign known for its imaginative ideals, its boundless vision, and its selfless service. Ruled by the planet Neptune, it can be a sign of emotional and spiritual transcendence, romanticism, artistry, and inspirational vision. Yet Pisces also has a dark side – a side that reveals playing victim to self and others, martyrdom, and emotional or spiritual avoidance, delusion, denial, and escapism. Pisces’ highs can be among the highest and brightest…and its lows can be among the lowest and darkest.
When we place Pisces into the context of Oneness, we may find that Venus in Pisces could be interpreted as partnership with All-That-Is and Chiron in Pisces could represent the healing of All-That-Is. Blend these two influences together, and we have partnerships that can heal collective emotional and/or spiritual wounds and restore the truth of interconnection and Oneness to everyone and everything. That may seem like a tall order, but under the influence of Pisces, that grand vision seems (and is very much) possible.
Of course, in order to heal Oneness, we must be willing to allow our individual and collective selves to be healed. In order to allow ourselves to be healed, we must be willing to give up our roles as victims. This may be a very difficult surrender for some of us as our identities may be defined by our victimization. If we give up our identities as victims to others, who do we become?
If you no longer choose to play the role of victim to your antagonist(s), who do you become?
On the brighter side, this Venus-Chiron conjunction in Pisces may find you willing to give up your role as victim to another or others in order to find a way for you and others in the whole of humanity to co-exist. This choice encourages the Piscean ideal of of peace and unconditional Love. This sacrifice of your own pain in order to heal the wounds of many may leave you feeling like you’re sacrificing who you’ve known yourself to be for the greater good…and you are. You are giving up your ego’s need to put itself before everyone else, and as result of your willingness to forgive and move on, you are healing others and healing yourself. It’s a huge shift in consciousness, but a shift that is possible for you to make at this time if you choose to.
On the darker side, this conjunction may find you deciding that dwelling in the pain of your own emotional-spiritual wounds, allowing yourself to continue living in emotional-spiritual pain, and twisting the emotional-spiritual wounds of others so they can experience the “same pain” that you feel is more important to you than healing the collective emotional-spiritual wound that everyone feels in the absence of Oneness. Though it may seem like vengeance is healing in the moment you exact it, said vengeance is only putting your individual ego ahead of the collective well-being of the human race.
Another dimension of this dynamic emerges due to the fact that this 2015 Venus-Chiron conjunction in Pisces forms a brief Lunar Yod with Jupiter Retrograde in Leo and Moon in Libra at the time the Venus-Chiron conjunction is exact. You may feel like you’re being asked to give up your specialness and your emotional investment in that specialness in order to allow for the whole of human kind to experience emotional-spiritual healing. The difficulty in making this transformative choice may be that you feel like you’re being asked to give up your perceived role in the human story and what makes you stand out from the rest of humanity in order to contribute to the healing of humanity. Martyring your ego may seem like a large price to pay in order to (finally) bring peace to human kind…possibly too large a price. It all depends on how invested you are in making yourself “more special” than others rather than recognizing the specialness of everyone and of a collective whole united in peace and Love.
Venus and Chiron in Pisces also make a sextile aspect with the powerful Pluto in Capricorn at the time their conjunction is exact. This sextile aspect indicates that the transformative potential of this choice is profound and really could have an impact upon the entire world. The “old world” orders, structures, and procedures have an opportunity to be cleared and replaced, and this sextile aspect offers a major opportunity to replace those old ways with something new – something that can truly heal and restore human kind to its collaborative brilliance. This could be a decisive turning point for humanity.
Venus has moved out of 3° orb and sextile aspect with Ceres in Capricorn only an hour or so before its conjunction with Chiron is exact. This lets me know that there has been a morals and values assessment over the last few days, and the diplomatic choices that are made at this time will reflect the true values of the decision-makers involved. Whether it is a private-personal issue or a public-professional-political issue, this will be a time for all of us to see the Truth of everyone involved in shaping their own individual lives and possibly the collective whole of humanity for years to come.
