Aries is a sign of initiative and action, often focused on your individual self. Libra is a sign of balance and equality, often focused on your one-on-one relationships with others. So the Full Moon in Aries opposite the Libra Sun (arriving at 7:06p PDT on Tuesday, October 11th) provides us with a wonderful opportunity for awakening to and awareness of who we are individually being in our relationships of all kinds.
There will be many of us who will finally “see the light” – we’ll understand who we’ve been choosing to be, and we’ll understand how we have been behaving toward others. We’ll also gain clarity about who we are choosing to be in our relationships with others (our actual actions and behaviors), and whether our actions and behaviors match or contrast our choices. Through this, we may become clear about who we want to be in our relationships with others (our desires). The light of the Full Moon (our feelings about our choices and our desires in those relationships) will reveal the actions we will need to take to bridge any misalignment between the two – that is, if there is any misalignment.
The best way to sum up the energy of this Full Moon is the following:
You become aware of how you feel about your own actions and behaviors in your relationship with/to ________ (person or object or circumstances). Through this awareness, it becomes clear which actions you need to take to align yourself with your choices and desires.
You may find that your actions and behaviors do not align with what you say you want in your life. And of this is the case for you, this Full Moon gives you the opportunity to bring them into alignment. This is a great chance for you to actually be and do what you say you want to be and do.
In other words, it’s put-up or shut-up time.
This may not be an easy experience for most of us. In awakening to how we choose to be and do in our relationships, some of us may experience sadness or regret about our actions and behaviors. Others of us may even experience anger and upset with ourselves. Yet some of us will experience joyful epiphany – we may find that everything we have been saying and doing is indeed fully aligned with our chosen life course. Either way, we’ll suddenly become conscious of certain aspects of relationships around us and how they align (or don’t align) with what we say we are committed to pursuing and doing in our lives.
This is not a time to focus on the behaviors of others and what they are doing or not doing. Libra is often an opportunity to stand in another person’s shoes, but with the Aries Full Moon it’s not really that kind of opportunity.
This is a moment in which you get to see your relationships from your side of the situation and circumstances. It really is more of an awakening to who you are choosing to be in certain, many, or maybe even all of the relationships in your life.
There are other influences which support the relationship choices and changes you may be making in the next few days. As discussed in last week’s post, we are in a 5 universal month. 5 is the energy of change and variety. That energy supports whatever changes or adjustments you need to make in your behavior(s) and actions toward others.
Another strong influence is Venus entering Scorpio last night (at 10:50p PDT), this all-or-nothing Scorpio energy supports the choices we will be making during this Full Moon cycle. Scorpio does not like gray area – it likes things black or white. And with Venus being the ruling planet of Libra, you can be sure some decisions will be made in and about your relationships. You may find some of these decisions will be permanent, especially with Mercury joining Venus in Scorpio on Thursday, October 13th (at 3:52a PDT)– your mind and communications will also support your decision-making process in matters of the relationships in your life.
Take advantage of the Light that this Full Moon in Aries is offering you this week to examine your relationships and your choices within them more closely.
