In part one, we discussed the history and folklore behind the Great Pyramids of Giza and other ancient pyramid lore in the context of today’s planetary alignment.  I mentioned that you may be asking, “This is all nice to know, but what does any of this have to do with me?”

Part two is, hopefully, the answer to your question.

Astrologically speaking, the planets involved with the alignment this morning were Mercury (21.01°), Venus (13.75°), and Saturn (6.85°) – all in the sign of Scorpio.  The alignment occurred at approximately 5:30a local time in Giza, Egypt, about 1 hour before sunrise.  This has all of the planets in the 12th house of the local chart – the 12th being the house of “the blind spot” or what is often apparent to everyone else but not so apparent to us.  However, because this is a public event, this could show up as hidden agendas or secret intentions just starting to come to Light.  This also has all three planets included in a sign interception of Scorpio (per Placidus house system), meaning that the intensity of the Scorpio energy is almost doubly hidden…or at least it’s trying to be.

Now keep in mind – the planets form an alignment but NOT a 3-planet conjunction!  Unless you use a larger orb in your calculations (I use a small one – usually 3° for significance), there are no connections between the three planets other than by sign.  But these three involved planets do make aspects with other planets at this time.

  • Mercury represents information and communication.  It also represents speed and quickness.  The messenger wastes no time in receiving the message or getting the message to whomever it needs to get to.  Mercury is the only planet that is not in major aspect with any other planets at the time of this alignment.
  • Venus represents balance, justice, fairness, and equality.  For this reason, it also represents one-on-one relationships and partnerships.  Venus is sextile with Mars in Capricorn (1.5° app – actions reflecting the goals and intentions of the partnership) and in quincunx with Jupiter Retrograde in Gemini (approx. 2.5 sep – introspective thoughts about how differences in relationships can be blended or integrated into a common whole) at the time of the alignment.
  • Saturn is known as the “great father” of the Zodiac, and represents discipline, focus, and structure.  However, because of its disciplinarian presence, it can also represent authority, restriction, and oppression.  Saturn is in mutual reception sextile with Pluto in Capricorn (approx. 2.5 sep – the strategic/purposeful destruction or rebirth of structures to align with intentions and goals), trine Chiron in Pisces (approx. 1.75° app – destroying structures that do not support healing and wellness in order to create structures that do), and quincunx Uranus in Aries (approx. 2.3° app – the unexpected destruction of structures that have a broad and lasting effect on humanity as a whole, likely technology or media-driven).

Now, true to the transcendent intention of the Great Pyramids of Giza (and all pyramids, really), this planetary alignment and the specific planets involved within Scorpio could be an indication of the revelation of a major transformation of humanity’s relationship with itself – the manifestation of a new structure for living, or rather, a “new world order”.  It is a time in which we may have reached the pinnacle of what we can do or control with money and things – they may be outdated measures of our human evolution.  Money, houses, luxury items, and such may no longer hold the value or importance they once did in society or in humanity-at-large.  That said, we can now either transcend the material-physical-financial structure we put in place and are now beginning to outgrow, or we can succumb to it therefore ceasing our growth and evolution into a collective race that values itself more than its external possessions.

Of course, a status quo never changes without a conflict.  After all, there will always be those who want to keep things as they are or keep fighting the same fight until they “win” or get what is “rightfully theirs”.  However, we as a collective race are being called upon to transcend these disagreements – to move beyond money and stuff as the measures of our individual and collective worth.  That progression is easier said than done.

The effects of this 2012 Giza Alignment event will likely be seen in one-on-one relationships and interactions and in opportunities for growth and expansion.  Any disagreements will likely show up as major differences in values regarding financial, material, and/or physical resources and their effect on the power balance in the relations between two parties.  This dynamic between two parties can show up being as small as two people on a personal level, or as large as two entities on a world stage.

This is apparent in the latest goings on in the world right now.  Among the increasingly urgent collective issues of global warming, financial crises, and health epidemics, there is also a notably increased awareness of  political and religious conflicts happening right now all over the world, but especially (and ironically) in the Middle East itself.

The biggest of note is that as Palestinians have recently been granted a form of statehood by the U.N., Israel strives to stake its claim on the land in question by discussing and possibly planning the construction of additional ‘settlements’.  This fight between Israel and Palestine has been going on for eons to the point where it probably will never end until, sadly, one side of the conflict or the other is eliminated completely.  We can only hope for the wisdom of maturity and compromise to prevail.

That said, the conflict between Israel and Palestine is probably the prime example of the Scorpionic dilemma facing humanity as a collective whole – can we really give up our disagreements and choose to co-exist for the greater good, or will we continue to be in conflict over things that no longer hold the meaning or importance they once did for humanity as a whole?  Will religion and politics and “civilized” commerce continue to tear us apart, or will be able to practice what each major religion supposedly preaches in regard to peace, love and acceptance to a goal of Oneness?

It really is an all-or-nothing deal – compromise or collective demise.  Only time will tell…or maybe the planets and the stars.  We’ll find out soon enough.

In the meantime, look in your own life to recognize the old and outdated values and beliefs that you hold in your life.  Ask yourself the following:

  • Which ones continue to serve you well?
  • Which ones no longer feel right for you?
  • Which ones no longer show up in your daily experience as a good fit for the lifestyle you are living now?
  • What or who are you open to that you’ve never been open to before?
  • What is occurring to you as unjust or unfair in your everyday life or the world around you?  Does it affect you personally or directly?  If so, how?

Just some things to consider as we move forward from this planetary event that has been deemed the 2012 Giza Planetary Alignment.

Thanks for reading and sharing.

Until next post…
