Mars enters Aries late this evening, March 11th at 11:26p PDT.
Even though Mars is leaving the sign of Pisces, six other bodies of influence will be in the sign as Mars moves out! The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Chiron, and Neptune continue on in Pisces, and the New Moon was exact in Pisces earlier in the day! Because Pisces lends itself to intangible emotional-spiritual energies, unless you are highly intuitive or outright psychic, there hasn’t been anything solid or clear in a while.
Pluto and Juno have been in Capricorn, but that hasn’t helped much. Pluto tends to destroy things in order to make room for new things to come in, so it’s actually in the process of destroying a lot of what has been stable and secure. Juno in Capricorn only gets fixated on its commitments and goals, which makes all of this dreamy watery Pisces energy maddening because most people won’t commit unless they have some guarantee of their desired outcome and Pisces hasn’t given them one.
And to top it off, Jupiter’s been in Gemini, giving you big ideas about what you think the answers or outcomes to your questions are (or should be), but it’s also been making it possible for you to expand the list of potential answers and outcomes way out of proportion which has probably confused you even more.
So in the wake of all of this confusion, intangibility, and dreaminess, Mars in Aries may find you doing what you think you need to do in order to get some solid answers. However, there are two challenges to this theory that taking action will get you the results or outcomes you want at this time:
1) Aries is a fire sign, so when Aries’ fire combines with this abundance of Pisces’ water, it creates steam. So in taking actions to clear things up, Mars in Aries may end up “fighting blind” by creating more steam with its fire rather than clarity. With situations becoming heated and more confused, you may find yourself more unclear and annoyed than you were at the start.
2) Mars is known as the warrior planet, and the warrior can get all fired up for fighting when it’s in its own sign of Aries. As result, in all this dreamy Pisces inconclusiveness, there’s a good chance that you’ll be doing whatever you think “you’ve got to do” out of frustration and/or anger and raring for a fight, which rarely bodes well for positive results. And with the Sun and Venus joining the party in Aries, the fire will only get bigger until Venus finally enters Taurus on April 15th.
Once Venus enters Taurus, it’s only then that you’ll begin to get a tangible idea of exactly what you’ve set in motion under Mars in Aries. Your partnerships and one-on-one relationships are where you’ll probably see the impact first, and by the time Sun moves into Taurus 4 days after Venus, it’ll all start coming to Light.
The point is that in “doing what you’ve gotta do” to get these answers you believe you “must know right now”, you may be causing more damage than doing good. That said, you may want to put a lot more thought into what you’re thinking of doing right now – be sure it’s really what you want to do. Especially since you may not really see or understand what you’ve done for about 5 weeks or so.
So how do you not reap havoc on your life and the lives of others right now by taking actions that are much more aggressive than necessary at this time?
You may not like this answer, but…you’ll need to be patient.
Yes, you’ll need to wait it out. Patience is the only way you may get out of this whole frustrating Mars in Aries period unscathed. Especially before March 17th when Mercury goes direct in Pisces, there really isn’t much good that can come out of acting on your frustrations or having a temper tantrum at this time.
This isn’t to say that Mars in Aries isn’t good for anything. As long as your actions aren’t motivated by anger or frustration, this can be a very productive time. Steam is also power that can move things forward as long as your intentions aren’t born of anger or frustration.
Before Mercury goes direct, you can use this Mars in Aries energy to get a few things completed that have already been underway for a while, or to do things that have needed to be re-done. Once Mercury goes direct on March 17th, you can start to take steps forward into completely new endeavors. Of course, you want to remember that by moving into totally new areas under the abundance of Pisces energy at hand, you may be stepping into a completely unknown future.
But in doing so, you’ll also be leading the charge of your own life – blazing an entirely new trail for yourself. It can be an exciting pioneer adventure moving you into a passionate pursuit of your dreams. If you start now (or soon – after the 17th) with faith and courage in the face of your unknown future, by the time the Sun moves into Aries, there’s a very good chance that you’ll be even more inspired by the path you’ve chosen to take, even if it’s still not exactly clear where you’re going until mid-April. Taking action to move forward on your unclear path is an act of “blind faith”. Just follow the feeling of your dreams to guide you at this time. If you use your heart and not your head, you won’t be steered wrong.
Make the most of this ardent and fiery energy of Mars in Aries, but also be aware of your motives in using it. You’ll have a lot of energy at your disposal – use it wisely as a courageous yet patient trailblazer.
