I had a great conversation during the eclipse last night with someone who asked me about the transitions of the astrological ages – a.k.a. the Age of Aries (ca.2150BC-50AD-ish), the Age of Pisces (ca.50-2200AD-ish), and the Age of Aquarius (ca.2200-4150AD-ish) – from historical and religious perspectives. He wanted to know more about what the difference between them was, and why he is feeling that they are so important to be aware of right now.
As we exchanged insights, I shared with him that this April 2014 Cardinal Grand Cross and its events and effects could very well be the tipping point between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius – the point at which the ties to the violent and ego-based mindsets and behaviors of the Age of Aries no longer have a place in the world as it is now and continues to become. As we pull back Pisces’ shroud of idealism and fantasy to see how the Arian Age has deceptively maintained its hold on humanity, we can now sever the ties that have held us back from our growth and evolution. This progression of the Piscean Age from idealistic delusion into transcendent consciousness helps humanity finally see and understand its self-delusion patterns. As result, Oneness consciousness awakens, helping each and all of us to recognize and realize the interconnection we could have all shared all along if only we had stopped trying so hard to prove our superiority to each other through violent aggression rooted in purely egocentric motives.
Of course, the Age of Aries being Aries refuses to go down without a fight. That is why we have the massive conflicts we have happening around the world at this time. They are the remnants of the Aries Age fighting for their survival.
The sad thing is, they refuse to recognize the futility of their fight.
To further explain why their fight is futile, I ask the following question as we enter the widely-anticipated Cardinal Grand Cross:
What happens when you put an assassin, a rogue , a loving protector, and a vengeful warrior into one room?
Let’s meet our players in this 2014 Cardinal Grand Cross:
- The Assassin: Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn – This is the one who is systematically clearing out all that no longer serves. Anything that is outdated, behind the times, going against the flow – Pluto has been assigned to take it out. And let me tell you – Pluto is not being nice about it. It is very focused on and disciplined in getting its job done. Nothing stands in its way. So all that resistance you’re trying to put up? Forget about it. It’s an exercise in futility to fight the changes that are inevitably coming. This is already showing up in the collapses of governments, organizations, corporations, etc. – especially in regard to their economies and their material-physical resources. This will also show up in outdated mindsets, beliefs, approaches, and/or processes, and foregone social standards also being exterminated. Any remnants of the Age in Aries mentality of aggressive force and self-important leadership will be made extinct over the next nine or so years (into 2023). This is the tipping point where the Age of Pisces is now easily flowing toward its finish line into the Age of Aquarius, cutting us free of any straggling ties to the Age of Aries that may remain. Everything has its time to die, and now is the time for all who have built their “leadership” and/or identities upon war-mongering, bullying, and manipulating for control and power to experience the fate they have bestowed upon others for so long. It’s karma time.
- The Rogue: Uranus in Aries – This is one feisty individual, determined to stand out from the crowd. It wants to have its presence acknowledged, but only because it intends to serve a greater purpose with the attention. Uranus wants to bring something to your attention or to the attention of the powers that be – something that makes life better for all of its community if not all of humanity. As rebellious as this energy can be, it always has the bigger picture in mind. It’s not going rogue just to be different – it’s going rogue to make a difference for as many people as possible. Of course, going rogue means that not only is it out-of-bounds, it’s also extremely unpredictable. There’s no way to know exactly how Uranus is going to do what it thinks it needs to do or say what it needs to say. Just be certain of one thing – everyone will know about it when it happens as Uranus oversees innovation, technology, and mass communication. It is very likely that mass media, social media, software and hardware technologies, internet infrastructures, and the like will be very instrumental in getting Uranus’ unconventional messages across in the next few years (into early 2019). Though it is traveling through independent and individually-minded Aries, make no mistake – Uranus puts the team/humanity first. Its rebellion against the remaining Age of Aries ties helps humanity clearly see the binding ties that needed to be cut long ago. It leads the charge into humanity’s next chapter.
- The Loving Protector: Jupiter in Cancer – Jupiter’s philosophy is that if it’s good, there should be more of it. Therefore, in the sign of Cancer, if the nurturing, care, and protection are good, there should be more of it. This is warm and loving “Mommy energy” looking for ways to express itself on a bigger scale. Of course, this is still Cancer – the sign known for circling the wagons when its precious treasure is being threatened. It protects its loved ones with an emotion-based fervor only a loving mother could give her child/children, and Jupiter in Cancer does just that for as many people it can scoop up in her motherly embrace. Anyone or anything that pulls tenderly at her heartstrings will be considered “family” and will be fiercely protected now through mid-July 2014. That said, pay attention to how much “the family” grows during this time. If you are attacking or resisting the changes that are occurring, you may unexpectedly find yourself outnumbered by those who are connected through their common emotional bond.
- The Vengeful Warrior: Mars Retrograde in Libra – This is a passionate warrior, and in retrograde motion you can bet it’s coming back into town to settle some scores. There’s a good chance that if you know you’ve done someone or something unfair or unjust, you’d best watch your back. With Mars – the planet of assertive and/or aggressive action – moving through Libra, it’s time to fight for justice, fairness, equality, and balance. In Libra, Mars doesn’t take as much initiative to start the conflict. However, Mars Retrograde in Libra will respond quickly and with great intensity at the first sign of injustice or imbalance in its relationships or partnerships of any and all kinds, taking swift and undeniable actions to restore balance and/or equality now through late July 2014. There may be peace and love and flowers when it’s all said and done, but there’s likely going to be some knockdown-drag out fighting to get there.
Mercury in Aries opposes Mars Retrograde in Libra exactly at 4:15a PDT on Wednesday16th April 2014, and this is what I perceive to be confirmation of “the striking of the match” – the start the fire that could very well engulf everything that needs to be burned away as thoughts and words have more incendiary power than usual.
Only 135 minutes later at approximately 6:30a PDT, Mars enters 3° orb with Jupiter in Cancer, fully initiating the Grand Cross through actions as result of or in response to those words, fanning the embers into flames with its actions, encouraging them into a full-blown blaze.
So, what happens when you put an assassin, a rogue , a loving protector, and a vengeful warrior into one room?
The thing to keep in mind here is that the four (or more) players in any grand cross work together. By challenging and balancing each other though square and opposition aspects, they actually position each other into a cohesive purpose, even though they may be adversaries in any other context. Here in the 2014 Cardinal Grand Cross that occurs under the astro-numerological influence of Aries 11 (peer leadership and mentoring, team, community), this is teamwork like no other seen before in the history of the world as we know it. These four key entities – Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars – come together and take initiative in cutting away the masks of separation that have been dividing and hiding humanity’s Truth from itself, clearing the outdated past away so that we can transform and emerge stronger and more powerful and resilient in our conscious and collective unity while celebrating our individual differences as contributions to the greater whole.
This April 2014 Cardinal Grand Cross will run through the end of April 2014, most exact on 22nd/23rd April 2014, allowing the Assassin, the Rogue, the Loving Protector, and the Vengeful Warrior to come together to manifest a profound transformation of the world and of human kind.
That said, it’s about time for you to choose which side of history you want to be on. Do you want to change or be changed? It’s up to you…though in the long run, you don’t really have a choice.
Change isn’t just coming – it’s here, and it’s a change for the ages.
Thanks for reading and sharing Signs and Numbers. Until next post…
