Scorpio reminds us that remaining in our comfort zones usually doesn’t serve us well. Saturn reminds us that focus and discipline are necessary if we are going to produce anything of significant and lasting value. Together, Saturn and Scorpio combine to remind us that in order to experience breakthroughs in our lives, we must be willing to transform who we believe ourselves to be in order to transform our lives.
For the last few months, Saturn in Scorpio has been moving in retrograde motion and external events and experiences have been helping each of us see where we need to transform our internal emotional focus and discipline. Now, we get to put our new emotional-spiritual focus and discipline on display as Saturn in Scorpio moves back into direct motion today 20th July 2014 at 1:35p PDT.
Saturn in Scorpio pushes you (and all of us) to make decisions about how you want to emotionally and spiritually approach your life and your lifestyle, and then pushes you further to become focused and disciplined in applying those emotional and spiritual decisions to your life. You transform your life and enable and embrace all of who you are as result. An important part of this process is facing the darkness you carry within yourself (we ALL have some!) in order to embrace and live into your potential for shining your Light.
With Scorpio Saturn in retrograde, you’ve been able to keep this depth-delving renovation process somewhat to yourself. This transformation process has been intense and internal – a very private and personal process for you.
Now with Saturn in Scorpio’s turn of direction, you may feel like you are now being forced to reveal what you’ve learned about your deeper self through your implementation of those lessons. Recent life changes have impacted and may continue to powerfully impact you on a deep emotional and spiritual level, and as result, you have changed. But with Saturn in Scorpio now direct, you and others may now step out of the shadows to realize just how much change you’ve undergone.
You’re also likely to notice how much other people around you have changed, and these realizations may be the catalysts for even more transformation to occur. While in retrograde, Saturn in Scorpio built a structure of transformation. Now in direct motion, that structure is now the norm as Saturn in Scorpio supports each and all of us in making of some very intentional and profound decisions.
The choices made now may not be faced easily, and you may find it difficult to make such choices about people and subjects that are so profoundly and intimately personal to you, especially if they involve uncomfortable matters and hard truths that you don’t like to or want to discuss or admit. There may be demands to answer long-standing questions you may have been hiding or avoiding, or as having to deal with the consequences of facing or not facing your secrets before now.
In some ways, it’s perfect that this is occurring two days before the Sun enters Leo. This is giving you a chance to admit to and/or to embrace your darkness before your True self-expression may come fully into the Light during the Leo Sun. At that point in time (22nd July), what you’ve been hiding may come to Light whether you want it to or not, so it may be to your advantage to put both (or all) of your faces forward now in order to clarify for yourself and others where you stand in your life’s journey. This is a time for drawing lines in the sand, making your boundaries clear and your positions known so that you and others can make decisions and take actions that have been a long time coming.
We will begin to see the revelations of hidden secrets and hidden changes on both personal and collective levels. Pay attention to this Saturn in Scorpio Direct dynamic not only in your personal life matters, but also in what is happening in world events as the large-scale choices made in and as result of those events will prove to have an impact on your personal life. We may learn or come to understand that some of these events have long been in planning or process, only emerging now as Saturn in Scorpio turns direct and becoming fully known as the Leo 5 Sun shines brightly to expose their truth.
Saturn has been in the sign of Scorpio since early October 2012. It will move forward in direct motion in Scorpio now until mid-December 2014 when it goes into Sagittarius for a few months before returning briefly to Scorpio via retrograde in mid-June 2015, then it turns direct to exit Scorpio one more time in mid-September 2015.
Saturn’s next full run through Scorpio will begin in 2043.
