Today, the 1st day of August 2014, is not only the busiest astrological day of the 2014 Leo Sun Period. It also brings a numerological energy shift from Leo 5 to Leo 6 Sun energy. When we enter Leo 6 numerological energy for the month of August 2014, we may notice that there is moderate shift of focus to a more emotional motivation for garnering attention and instigating drama.
6 is the “mommy energy” of numerology, calling for nurturing, caring, and protecting. It is also the number of healing and wellness, and can be very practical in its approach to finding solutions to any problems or issues with efficiency or effectiveness. 6 energy likes to make sure things work so that life works as they believe it should.
That said, Leo 6 energy is much like that of a “stage parent”. They see their child as the greatest of them all and wonders why others don’t see it as clearly as they do. If their kid is the best, you’ll never hear the end of how wonderful their child is. If their kid is not the best, you’ll never hear the end of how it’s someone else’s fault that their kid isn’t the best of their group. However, the truth is that their grandstanding on their child’s behalf is rarely about their child, and usually about them as Leo 6wants to be acknowledged for being the best at nurturing, caring for, and protecting their loved ones. It wants others to give it credit for being an excellent and effective maternal presence. It also wants to be acknowledged for its ability to bring solutions to problems and/or to heal or fix things and people and help others’ lives work.
At its best, Leo 6 is a warm, loving, and generous presence. They celebrate the best qualities in their loved ones. When the spotlight is on them as an individual, Leo 6 doesn’t hesitate to share that Light with the people and projects they care about most. When they feel joy, they want everyone around them to feel joy by creating opportunities to help others find and shine their Light as well. They want to know that their presence helps bring healing, warmth, and love to any environment they are in.
At its worst, Leo 6 is a persistent meddling presence, unable to keep their nose out of the business of their loved ones. This is usually because they want their loved ones to be in the spotlight, but not without them. Ultimately, they are afraid that their loved ones will be good or successful in their lives and that they (the Leo 6) won’t be acknowledged for their role in helping those people become who they are today. They want outsiders to know that their loved ones couldn’t be who they are without their support.
This shift into Leo 6 energy will be noticeable right away as the second astrological Water Grand Trine of the2014 Leo Sun Period is most exact on the 1st of August (Venus, Saturn, Chiron Rx). Immediately, there will be allies and advocates sought and partnerships formed in order to protect and defend emotional interests.
On a larger world scale, unless the powers-that-be in the world are willing to give up their ego-based needs to prove themselves right or good or to prove others bad or wrong, they will continue to make choices and take actions that may get them the attention they want, but not the positive way they hope. We may also notice that health and wellness issues are coming to the fore, and that either or both great advancements in healing and treatment are being made and brought to light, or that a need for healing and treatment processes and procedures is becoming more prominent and urgent.
The same energy dynamic is present in personal relationships at this time as those who are determined to prove themselves to be the good or right parties in their relationships or conflicts may not get the victory they hope to get by stirring up the pot and seeking allies for their position. There may also be a shift of focus to health and wellness matters, but the key is to figure out what is actually causing the personal health issues – is it systematic or emotional? Don’t underestimate the power of emotions to create or cause (or heal) physical illness.
When we shift into the 2014 Virgo Sun Period on the 22nd of August, we may find that the meddlers attempt to become the “fixers”. I get a sense that this is more like the meddlers trying to clean up the mess they made by being involved in the first place, but anyway…
Virgo is the practical and purposeful worker of the Zodiac, attending to the day-to-day functionality of life. Virgo is a problem-solver, a systems analyst, and a healer. It is Virgo’s job to make sure that life works the way it’s supposed to. It wants to make sure things are being done “the right way” or at least in the best and most efficient and effective way possible.
When Virgo’s energy is blended with 6’s numerological “mommy” energy, we get a “ fixer” type of expression. These are people who immediately notice what is working efficiently and effectively, and what is not; what is broken and needs to be repaired; what is hurting and needs to be healed (both physically and emotionally). They can be logistical geniuses and their eye for detail can be extraordinary. However, those details and logics can be compromised by emotional investment, and this is where the Virgo 6 energy can be a bit challenged.
At best, Virgo 6 is practically and purposefully objective yet it is also caring and nurturing in the process. Even at best, this energy is likely to be expressed as a bit of “tough love” as they do care and have an emotional investment in the people and the project, but the functionality of the system or process in place is also considered. Both the emotional and practical are considered in the process of getting things done, as Virgo 6 wants to make sure that systems and procedures move along with ease and efficiency yet they also want to make sure that the health and wellness of all involved is also addressed and attended to. Work needs to be done, but never at the expense of overall health and well-being.
At worst, Virgo 6 may be practically and purposefully subjective. It may overlook details or logic in order to favor that which or those who align with their emotional interests and investments. If Virgo 6 is more inclined to be a people person, this may have them being overtly favorable and extremely nurturing toward those they have an emotional preference for and extremely neglectful of those it does not. If Virgo 6 is more inclined to focus on system or processes, they may have them finding the logistics, rules, and procedures more emotionally (yes, emotionally!) important to them than nurturing the human relationships involved. Virgo 6 may also be created from nothing just because it needs something to fix to feel useful and loved.
On the personal level, we may notice that Virgo 6 energy has us paying attention to what helps our lives actually function on a daily basis and what or who improves that function. We may find ourselves giving extra attention or affection to that which and those who help us get things done in our lives. Our awareness of whatever and whoever helps improve the functionality of our lives may be increased. We may also find that we are increasingly aware of what is not working well in our lives or where our health and wellness is compromised. This may inspire us to take steps to restore order and healthy practices to our lives, and therefore, restoring workability to the day-to-day of our lives as we are in better physical and emotional shape to function in and attend to our everyday lives.
On the world scale, Virgo 6 energy may show up as an increasing awareness of what is or isn’t working in the bigger picture. Systems and processes may need to be analyzed and adjusted in order to function at their highest efficiency and effectiveness. There may also need to be the realization of the systems and operational structures that are breaking down, needing repair or replacement. Health and wellness processes and procedures may also reveal their strengths and weaknesses, and effective solutions to problems may need to be quickly found and efficiently implemented.
