It was a very astrologically busy early day, Friday 30th January 2015…and I missed getting ahead of it, probably because I’m in the thick of it myself. Anyway, let’s take a look at the energies of today’s astrological transits and how they may have affected our day and our collective and individual life journeys.
To start, Pisces Venus squared Sagittarius Saturn earlier at 12:23a PST. Saturn in Sagittarius is a complicated energy because the planet of focus, discipline, boundaries, and responsibility is in the sign of adventure, growth, and expansion. This combination often reflects responsible and focused growth that is mature and disciplined. Through Saturn’s square with Venus in Pisces arises a need to set boundaries. It’s easy to get caught up in the hype of inspired imagination or fantastic delusion in your one-on-one relationships through Venus in Pisces. Yet Saturn in Sagittarius brings up a need for clearly-defined and strongly-enforced boundaries when it comes to moving freely and forward in relationships, however ideal they may seem in some ways.
Next, Pisces Mars made sextile aspect with Capricorn Pluto at 5:36a PST. Pluto in Capricorn has been transforming our standards of success since 2008, and plans to continue its reign of renovation into 2023. In other words, it’s not going anywhere. That said, it’s important to note that under Mars in Pisces, actions may be driven by emotional sensitivities and/or idealistic delusions. These actions may reveal the pedestals that need to be toppled in order for you to move forward toward the fulfillment of your dreams. You may also realize what you need to clear out in order to move forward, and that some of the people and things that you have held up as your benchmarks or standard-bearers are no longer worthy or deserving of the idealism you have been giving them for so long.
The Aquarius Sun and Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius finally crossed paths today, conjuncting at 5:45a PST and bringing Light to whatever it is that you’re supposed to be paying attention to. During retrogrades, there is an invitation to receive information from the people and the world around you. During this particular Mercury Retrograde, you are being asked to listen, look, and allow yourself to receive communications from others, from your environment, and from your circumstances. People are telling you who you are for them, and it may come clear (or clearer) for you what they are trying to communicate to you if you allow yourself to be open to receiving their feedback. Pay attention to how people are interacting with you. Also pay attention to your role in the groups, communities, and circles you are part of.
The Sun-Mercury Retrograde conjunction and the Venus-Saturn square have been making their impacts since Thursday and will be felt until the late morning/early afternoon hours of Saturday 31st January. The Mars-Pluto sextile has been felt since Monday 26th January, and its influence will continue to be present through early on 3rd February 2015.
