The passionate and fiery sign Sagittarius is the main character for the last New Moon of 2015. Friday December 11th at 2:29 am – the notions of truth-seeking, exploring and going beyond our limits is calling for some new intentions on our part.
A new sense of freedom and optimism may color this time of year just as much you overdoing things and promising more than you can deliver. Sagittarius aims for things far and wide. It needs to expand and explore. It seeks truth and it wants to share it.
With the New Moon in this sign – its ruler Jupiter wants to bring positive energy and growth into our lives. This energy may also be quite aggressive because of Libra Mars & Aries Uranus Rx . These signify pushes to bring balance and justice into our lives, and these pushes will also serve as a catalysts or fuel for growth and expansion. With this happening on a universal 4 day (for some time zones) whatever foundations developed in this time may hang around for awhile. However for other time zones, the New Moon lands on a universal 5 day – so expect a fair amount of change and movement.
Additionally this 2015 Sagittarius New Moon is squaring Sag’s ruling planet of Jupiter, which happens to be in the sign of Virgo. So while the feelings of wanting to expand and explore are present, the realities of details, responsibilities and our own healing will call for attention. In essence, we need to look at some new ways to approach our day-to-day, while still honoring the desire to explore new ideas and ventures.
I recently had two dental procedures in two weeks. I was so arrested by the pain, but I thought I could tough it out. I finally gave in and got the necessary work done. However I was frustrated because it necessarily caused me to slow down. I couldn’t normally attend to my day-to-day activities, and the worry of everything piling up was overwhelming. I was also supposed to lead my first meditation class, and had to reschedule it, because I needed to attend to my health.
This is what it feels like when Sagittarius wants you to expand but the Moon is squaring Jupiter in Virgo. You feel bogged down and you HAVE to attend to details, responsibilities – and in my case, health-related issues. Sound familiar for anyone?
The Moon is also in square aspect to Chiron in Pisces during its New phase, so your own issues around how you may escape or avoid your own personal responsibilities by serving others, or how you may tend to take on a role as a victim or martyr may come up. Your own belief systems may also come up for review during this time and if you are hurting in any way, it’s going to require your attention.
The timing of all these transits (especially during the holidays) can manifest in various ways. You may find yourself overspending or promising to deliver something you may not be able to. There may be issues that need your immediate attention that impede you from traveling, expanding, and/or exploring. Values and beliefs that you hold will probably be confronting you in some way. There may be some some feelings that you are being pushed beyond what you can handle.
With the energy of a New Moon in Sagittarius, we get to start new beginnings and set new intentions. You may recognize how avoiding your responsibilities can inhibit your own growth and expansion, and discover how to own up and step up so you can move beyond those self-imposed limitations. You may also get to take aim on what matters most to you.
As we close of the year of 2015, I invite you to allow this 2015 Sagittarius New Moon to help you discover truths that will lead you to further personal elevation, new life philosophies, or enhanced spiritual beliefs. Explore your new possibilities and expand on them. Set those intentions. In addition, I also invite you to own up to the responsibilities and duties that need your attention and welcome the healing that wants to come into your life.
I set the intention in my heart that all of you discover a hidden gem and truth within yourself that brings you into greater amazement of how beautiful and amazing life truly is, even within the “mundane” of the day-to-day. Sending you all much love and light!
As above, so below, love within, love expressed
