On Monday, 20th June 2016 at 4:02a PDT, we experience our second Sagittarius Full Moon of the 2016 Gemini Sun period. It sneaks in only 11.5 hours before the Summer Solstice marked by the Sun’s entrance into the sign of Cancer at 3:34p PDT on the same day. When this Full Moon occurs, it will mark the end of an era.
The era that is closing is one in which truth was presumed before falsehood; in which authority figures and long-standing societal institutions were considered morally conscious and worthy of respect and honor; in which informing people with objective truth mattered more than indoctrinating them with agendas.
As the events of the world occur and truths (despite efforts to hide them) come to light, and as we struggle to find reliable and dependable sources for the honest accounting of these events and the circumstances which led to them, we find this second Sagittarius Full Moon of 2016 giving us what feels like one last opportunity to hear and claim the truth before it seems lost forever in a sea of emotion and ambition.
This June 2016 Sagittarius Full Moon occurs on a day which is full of dynamic energy. To start, the Sagittarius Moon reflects the light of the Gemini Sun, holding Gemini accountable for its words and actions through the litmus of truth and authenticity. At the time the Sun-Moon opposition is most exact (29.53°), the Gemini Sun also makes near-exact trine aspect to Juno Retrograde in Libra (29.42°), reflecting a commitment to justice, fairness, balance, and equality. As events reveal an imbalance, there is a call for matters to be dealt with in a fair, equal, and honest manner and a call for justice to be served.
It is also an 8 universal day numerologically, which means that power and influence (and the desire for and wielding of those qualities) play a big role in how the events of the day play out. This theme of power and influence is also obvious as we look at the transits of Cancer Venus trine BM Lilith in Scorpio (3.25-3.30° sep) revealing an assessment of which partnerships best align with your soul’s deepest desires and are worthy of an investment of your emotional energies, Scorpio Mars Rx trine Pisces Chiron (23.09-25.23° sep) revealing the emotional impact of one’s actions upon you…and the impact of your initiative actions upon others, and Aries Ceres conjunct Uranus (23.09-23.89° app) revealing a willingness to stand up and fight for your values and your autonomy in holding those values. Though none of these transits directly interact with the Sagittarius Full Moon, their presence on this day contributes to the profundity of the astral and numeric energies at this time.
Also on this day, there are a few exact transits. These exact transits also do not directly interact with the Full Moon, but definitely make an impact on the day:
- Gemini Mercury in exact opposition to Sagittarius Saturn Retrograde at 7:56a PDT – information and communications clarify boundaries determined by your personal truth, helping you focus and discipline yourself for success on your terms
- Gemini Mercury exactly square to Pisces Neptune Retrograde at 10:11a PDT – a transit in which thoughts and words communicated may challenge your personal and/or collective visions, dreams, and ideals

You don’t have to be a victim to your circumstances or a martyr for others. Instead, stand up and powerfully speak up for yourself and for what is most important to you.
