As of 1:42a PST this morning, 8th January 2017, we entered a rather rare astrological period – a period in which ALL planetary bodies are in direct motion (also known in astrology as APDM)!
Yes, that’s right. No retrogrades.
We are in a “full steam ahead” mode, and we’ll have this energy present now through 6th February 2017. The last time we experienced this was about a year ago in late 2015-early 2016 for 11 days.
So what do I mean by “full steam ahead”?
I mean that each of us gets to put ourselves into action. This is not a time for reflection or reassessment or anything like that. The time for all of that was the last 7-10 days. Now, we’re being called upon to act upon our truths and to move ourselves forward in our individual and collective life journeys.
The advantage of having all planets in direct motion is that we are more likely to have access to the most positive qualities of each of these planets during this time. Even during challenging transits, we are encouraged to trust that everything is happening as it needs to for the Highest and best possible outcome for all in the long run.
To make this even more exciting, this 2017 APDM period begins on a numerological 1 universal day in an 11 universal month in a 1 universal year – a day of new beginnings in a month of peer leadership and community initiative in a year of new beginnings. There’s a LOT of initiative energy today, and it’s saying “if you’re going to get it done, you’d best get it started TODAY!” You have the support and the blessings of your community and the Universe in whatever you begin…especially if you begin now.
To make the most of these next 28 days of APDM, let’s look at the energies of the planets:
- The Sun will be in Capricorn until 19th January, which means we are still experiencing revelations and new understandings of the societal structures in place which affect our lives. We are also actively initiating our progress toward the achievement of our goals and fulfillment of our ambitions. Once the Sun enters Aquarius on 19th January, we will be focused on our individual and collective humanity.
- Mercury is in Sagittarius for another four days, returning to Capricorn on 12th January. This gives us four more days to speak our truths before we need to set some intentions based upon those truths. Once in Capricorn, we will be encouraged to think and speak about what we are intending to achieve and/or manifest in our lives.
- Venus in currently in Pisces, inspiring loving awareness of our individual relationships with others and with All-That-Is. Venus enters Aries on 3rd February, bringing forth partnerships which encourage individual activity and leadership.
- Mars in currently in Pisces as well, encouraging us to act upon our emotional, spiritual, and especially our intuitive truths. Mars enters its home sign of Aries on 28th January, and any courses of action initiated around that time could prove to be very assertive if not aggressive.
- Chiron is in Pisces, bringing long-open emotional and spiritual wounds to the fore.
- Ceres is in Aries, encouraging us to act upon our personal values. Ceres enters its home sign of Taurus on 4th February, eager to plant itself into a comfort zone and gain a sense of security and stability.
- Juno is in Sagittarius, following through on its promise in bringing truth to light and honoring that truth. Yet Juno enters Capricorn on 2nd February, and shifts its focus to following through on personal and societal goals and intentions.
- Jupiter is in Libra, increasing and expanding awareness of the dynamics within our partnerships and one-on-one interactions with others of all kinds.
- Saturn is in Sagittarius, keeping us focused upon what is factually true and what is aligned with our personal truths.
- Uranus is in Aries, encouraging individuals to take a stand and claim their place in their communities.
- Neptune is in Pisces, encouraging us to dream bigger dreams. Just be careful that you aren’t deluding yourself or using your idealism to deny or avoid your truths.
- And Pluto is in Capricorn, helping us empower or destroy structures of power and influence which no longer serve us well.
The spell is mildly broken on 6th February when Jupiter stations retrograde in Libra, and we begin to experience receive feedback and do-over opportunities in regard to either a growing awareness of the balance of justice, fairness, and equality in our relationships and partnerships of all kinds…or the growing awareness of a lack of balance in those types of interactions.
