So in the last couple of posts, we discussed the 2017 Cancer New Moon + Cardinal Grand Square AND the re-entry of Mercury into Capricorn.
There’s one more event worthy of note on this 12th day of January 2017.
Venus makes exact conjunction with Neptune in the sign of Pisces at 1:54p PST.
The energy of this transit has been present for the last couple of days and will be felt through 15th January. Let’s discuss its influence.
Pisces is the mutable water sign of spiritual and emotional transcendence, inspired vision, and intuitive awareness of our Oneness with All-That-Is. This is universal and unconditional love, compassion, and service at the Highest levels. However, Pisces (like all signs) does have a dark side, and that dark side involves victimization, martyrdom, deception, and delusional thinking.
Venus is the ruling planet of Libra – a cardinal air sign. Despite its reputation for peace, beauty, and romance, it’s actually about creating and maintaining balanced, equal, fair, and peaceful one-on-one relationships and interactions of all kinds. It strives for justice to be established and preserved.
However, Neptune is the planet of vision and artistry and romance. It is the inspiration for all things dreamy and ethereal. This brings forth the ultimate rose-colored glasses effect when it is at home in its sign of rulership, Pisces.
With Neptune in Pisces and Venus conjuncting Neptune in its home sign, this places Venus’ objective and intellectual approach to partnerships at a distinct disadvantage.
Yes, this conjunction could be a sign of a lovely, romantic union. This could be the bearer of inspired visons and/or starry-eyed dreams come true.
Yet it could also be the bearer of nightmares made real, simply because the objects of your affections could be using your idealism of them and/or your relationship to deceive or take advantage of you.
Remember that Venus is the planet of partnerships of all kinds, and though it wants to create partnerships which are fair, equal, and balanced, under this influence you may find that those you are in relationship with are simply creating the illusion of a balanced partnership…but in reality, they may be anything but. In fact, rather than supporting and encouraging your visionary goals and ambitions, they may be taking you off-course.
Also be aware of your own behavior during this time. You may find yourself not as victim, but as perpetrator, trying to take advantage of others by using their idealism of you to position yourself into an advantage. Yet any advantage(s) or disadvantages may be short-lived as the other astrological dynamics are such where may not take long for you or your “partners” to remove the rose-colored glasses and realize what’s been going on.
If you are acting with authenticity and integrity, this 2017 Venus-Neptune conjunction in Pisces may be a beautiful thing! It could bring the partnerships and relationships which finally help heal your heart and soul from wounds of the past.
But if you are on the receiving end of duplicity and deception, this Venus-Neptune conjunction could open old wounds or possibly even create new ones.
All of this being said, you don’t want to shut yourself off completely from what could be a good thing. However, you can protect yourself by making sure you’re maintaining your intellectual objectivity in the face of emotional bliss. Make sure you keep enough of your brains about you that you take a moment to review the details of any partnerships or one-on-one relationships you are in, ensuring they are truly equal, fair, just, and balanced. Make certain when it comes to relationships and partnerships, you’re thinking things through and not just feeling them through (which under the influence of the Cancer Full Moon is extremely challenging right now).
And make sure that whatever or whomever you are being drawn to is aligned with your individual and independently inspired goals and ambitions as well as theirs. Make sure they love you just as much as you love (or believe you love) them, and vice-versa. Reciprocation of action, attraction, and affection is key. It’s easy under this influence to sacrifice your self-love for the love of another…
…which is why under Venus conjunction Neptune in Pisces with a Cancer Full Moon and a Cardinal Grand Square and Mercury entering Capricorn, it’s important to remember this one thing:
Though the love may be true, make sure it also helps you stay true to you.
