Ceres entered the sign of Gemini at 8:40a PDT on Saturday, 29th April 2017, creating the latest shift in focus for our personal lifestyle values, and encouraging us to ask questions and open ourselves to receive valuable answers and information for our best advancement.
In Taurus, Ceres was at home in its sign of rulership, focused on the material, physical, and financial circumstances and resources. Value was measured in how stable and secure those resources are in your life and how well you were able to manage those resources to create a sense of security, stability, and safety to build your life and lifestyle upon.
Now in Gemini, Ceres shifts our values to communication, information, and learning which expands you mind and understanding of the world. Inquiring minds want to know and will ask; and clear, honest answers will be expected.
That’s because with Ceres in Gemini, information and communication are currency. You may find yourself more inclined to seek information about the subjects of interest to your lifestyle development. Under the influence of the 2017 version, this is especially the case as you may now have more clarity about the current state of your lifestyle resources (likely physical, material, and financial), but maybe not so much clarity about how to acquire them or increase them.
For that reason, communications have much more importance and value than usual right now. You will not only find yourself asking more questions than usual – you’ll find yourself in a position to receive plenty of answers…if you’re willing to listen for and see them as they come to you.
And the answers you seek will come, if they haven’t begun to come forward already. If you don’t see or hear them, it may be because you’re probably not seeing or hearing the answers you want to hear. This is the challenge of this 2017 Ceres in Taurus – that you may not receive confirmations of your beliefs and values – you may, instead, receive information which contrasts and challenges them instead. Keeping an open mind will be important at this time because you may not get the answers you want to hear…and this may result in your experiencing yet another reassessment of your personal values and a shift in what is truly important in the matters of life most important to you.
One big transit occurring in the next few weeks was most exact on Sunday, 30th April – Ceres square the Virgo North/Pisces South Nodal Axis – which revealed that more information you receive right now, the more you’re likely becoming aware of how you are now choosing between an idealistic past (or a past-based ideal) and a practically functional path to the future that you may not have ever imagined for yourself.
Another big moment will be on Monday, 15th May, when Mercury enters the sign of Taurus, placing it in a mutual reception with Ceres in Gemini. Mutual reception means that Ceres and Mercury will be in each other’s signs of rulership (Ceres being the ruler of Taurus, Mercury being the ruler of Gemini). They will be in each other’s signs, amplifying each other’s effects from 15th May through 12th June, with the two bodies making exact semi-sextile on Thursday, 25th May (the day of the Gemini New Moon). The transit period will mark a time in which there will be plenty of conversation and opportunity to exchange powerful ideas and gather information valuable in establishing a solid and stable lifestyle foundation. Clear thoughts and words will be crucially instrumental in creating clearer personal values, which may lead to solid manifestation of the desired lifestyle resources in the future.
