After the completion and ending energies of the Aquarius Full Moon + Total Lunar Eclipse a couple of weeks ago revealing to us where we as individuals stand in the big picture of society and humanity, the slate is now cleared and we have the opportunity to choose how we want to proceed from here to, into, and possibly through that gateway.
The thing is, not everyone’s slate felt cleared after the last two weeks. In fact, many of us realized we had more to clear out than we believed, and it was more than our material or physical belongings and outdated relationships which needed to be cleaned up or cleaned out. When it came to claiming our unique and creative individual self-expressions, it was our beliefs, behaviors, and the emotions behind them which also needed some purging before we would be ready to step into the opportunities for progress presenting themselves for us to share our brilliance with the world.
This is where and how two other celestial bodies in conjunction to this Leo 1 New Moon + Eclipse come into play. Pallas Athena was also in Leo within 3° orb of this conjunction (17.15°) asking us to notice the patterns occurring in individual self-expression; and Leo Mercury Retrograde was within 3° orb of Pallas Athena (at 14.69°), asking us to pay attention to the acts of creative self-expression occurring in the environment around us. These four bodies created what I call a “daisy-chain stellium” – the effects of Mercury Retrograde feeding into the energy of Pallas Athena feeding into the Sun and Moon conjunction/Eclipse. This was a powerful configuration as it asked us to earnestly assess the information we were receiving about what it means to be creatively self-expressed. Was the information we had factually true? Were we honoring its truth? Or were we trying to deny or avoid what it was saying – and maybe has been saying to us – all along?
This 2018 Leo New Moon + Partial Solar Eclipse was and is the ultimate “ask and you shall receive” yet “be careful what you wish for” lunar event in that if you’ve been wanting to have more creative independence, a larger and/or more unique creative presence, or receive more acknowledgment of your creative self-expression, now is the time for one or all of those things to come forth for you. Yet you may also learn that being ‘center stage’ comes with increased attention from others, and that means more responsibility and accountability… and possibly more criticism. You’ve got to have the strength of self-confidence to face all that comes your way when you’re the center of attention…
… and not everyone can handle it or handle it well.
For many of us, stepping closer to or fully into the gateway of realized creative self-expression brought many of us to some harsh realizations about what is really necessary in order to move forward and upward in our lives. Some of us learned that we may not be as close to stepping up as we thought we were – that we haven’t done the necessary internal and emotional work to move ourselves into the spotlight. We haven’t yet done enough inner work to get out of our own way. We may still be holding onto too much of our past identities and patterns of behavior, not truly ready to let go of who we’ve been before now. This was a clear and undeniable message that must now let go of what we are comfortable with and who we believe ourselves to be in order to become who we are here to be.
For others of us, it was a reminder that stepping into the individual spotlight is not a simple progression to make. Just when we think we are prepared to stand solo at center stage doesn’t mean we really know how we will experience that shift from the shadows into the light. Many of us quickly learned that we grossly underestimated the shifts that would occur in all areas of our lives. We believed that we could level up in one area and everything else could remain the same, only to realize that when one area goes up, the others all begin to rise with it. Once you know, you cannot unknow; and once you raise the vibration of your experience of life, you can no longer tolerate a lesser experience in any of them.
There is a ripple or domino effect which occurs when we make a major change in our lives. Once we make a significant change in one area, the other areas will not go unaffected. The energy of the impact will spread – it’s a fact of nature. So though the numerological 1 energy related to this 2018 Leo New Moon + Eclipse is due to the 1 Universal month energy for the month of August, the day itself was actually a 3 Universal day – a day of learning, growth, and expansion – indicating that whatever was initiated on Saturday will (and hopefully was) intended to grow and expand, only reinforcing the “ripple/domino effect” experience. The events around and during this lunar event will indeed reach further than expected into all areas of our lives.
This energetic reach is also lengthened and strengthened by the fact that this New Moon phase is felt for 3 days before and after the maximum phase of the Leo 1 New Moon; and the Eclipse energy will carry this energy forth for at least the next six months though the events which occur from here may have lasting impact for years to come.
If you were not ready to walk through the gateway onto center stage in your life experience on or near Saturday, it’s okay. Just learn from the lessons of this event and make the choices which prepare you for stepping into the spotlight with courage and strength the next time opportunities present themselves. Accepting and applying the lessons from her on out may be just what you needed for you to gain access to the gateway – you may already be through with the lessons as the passage.
And if you were ready to walk through and did so on or near Saturday, you also have lessons to learn about stepping up in all areas of your life after being seen, heard, and/or acknowledged for your uniqueness in one or more areas of your life. Learn those lessons and grow from them… especially because you don’t really have a choice if you intend to continue forward and upward into the fulfillment of your Highest purpose in this lifetime.
Either way, use the energy from this 2018 Leo 1 New Moon + Partial Solar Eclipse to recognize how you can best step into the next phase of your life’s journey – into your fullest expression of self with strength, confidence, capability, and in ways which all can benefit from your unique creative presence.
