Those of you who have followed me for a while know I’m NOT a fan of predictive astrology. I love to analyze individual natal charts, and when it comes to events, I’m usually one to allow things to take their course and do analysis after the fact.
However, the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election is an exceptional event.
It’s become pretty standard fare for U.S. voters to be told each of our Presidential elections are “the most important election of our lifetime” every four years. We’re hearing that line yet again, but this time, it may actually be the most important election of our lifetime for the simple fact that it’s not as much Democrats versus Republicans as it is past versus future, and that the choice we make here and now in this present moment will affect the collective future of not only the United States of America, but the entire world.
I figured the best way to go about the 2024 Presidential Election would be to look at the election when the mainland poling stations close at 8:00 PT/11:00 ET. I’ve done the chart for Washington D.C. on Election Day, 5th November 2024, and examined the transits occurring that day.
I also compared the 2024 Election Day with the U.S. natal chart (Sibly), Kamala Harris’ progressed chart, and Donald Trump’s progressed chart. Let’s look at my assessments below.
PLEASE NOTE: A personal disclosure – I am a registered voter with no party affiliation. As a policy voter, I prefer not to adhere to a party ideology. Therefore, when I write about politics and geopolitics, I have no investment in a particular party or candidate. I deeply value objectivity when it comes to astrological and numerological assessments, and I intend to be as objective as possible in these chart analyses.
Let’s start with the Election Day itself:
NOTABLE TRANSITS FOR THE ELECTION ITSELF (at 11:00 pm EST, Tuesday 5th November 2024, Washington D.C.):
T-SQUARE: Leo Mars square Taurus MC/(Scorpio IC conjunct Juno) square Capricorn Pluto (29-0°) – THIS is THE transit that has me concerned, because to me, there is no way around it – there are going to be some people acting out in a big way. These actors will want attention, and will seek it by any means necessary… and I mean by ANY means necessary. Scorpio indicates destructive energy in order to facilitate “rebirth”, and with the Juno conjunction to the IC, this indicates a commitment to this process of transformation. And the fact that Pluto is still in Capricorn indicates this transformative energy will be directed at the societal structures and institutions currently in place in the U.S., further shaking the status quo that has been well-shaken by the United States’ first Pluto Return that peaked in 2022, and is still in effect within 3°orb until mid-December 2024 (yes, even with Pluto moving into Aquarius a week after the election). To be blunt, there is no way the United States will come out of this election in the same way it entered it.
CARDINAL T-SQUARE: (Libra Part of Spirit conjunct Libra Vesta conjunct Libra South Node) square Capricorn Moon square Aries North Node (3-6°) – There’s definitely a karmic aspect to this election cycle, especially in regard to the partnerships of all kinds. These could be the partnerships the United States has with other nations. It could also be the partnerships the candidates have with their donors or with the voters. Nevertheless, the fact that a Capricorn Moon is the pivot of this T-Square is curious because it reveals the emotional investment the United States has made in its goals and objectives, and it reveals that Its current ambitions are currently emotion-driven. The fact that the Part of Spirit is conjunct the collective Libra South Node could also be an indicator that the United States’ role as it has been may be complete, and that it’s time for its role to change or that’s its role is being phased out whether it wants it to be or not.
SEQUENCE: (Libra Part of Spirit conjunct Libra Vesta conjunct Libra South Node) semi-sextile Scorpio Black Moon Lilith semi-sextile Sagittarius Mercury (3-5°) – That the United States’ role as it has been may be complete, and that the world is ready for its role to change or be phased out are highlighting the shadow aspects of voters’ minds – their fears about the U.S. within and outside its borders are driving their ballot choices. What voters may not realize is that this is also revealing their truth to each other, but more importantly, to the world. The domestic and foreign policies voters choose will reveal what Americans truly think about themselves, each other, and other nations around the world.
Scorpio 1 Sun trine Pisces Saturn Retrograde (12-14°) – This is a time when the United States will be faced with the boundaries being set by other nations. Where the United States has long acted with relative freedom and impunity in regard to its domestic and international dealings, it now finds itself facing more international scrutiny than it ever has before. This intensity is something that the United States could draw strength from. However, it is also something that could fuel a deeper and possibly more vengeful use of its power. Rather than looking for constructive ways to use its power, the United States is likely to be tempted into using Scorpio’s destructive tendencies to “rebirth” itself and its role in the world coming out of this election cycle. We may find that within the U.S. borders, various parties and institutions may also choose destructive over constructive approaches to wielding their power and influence in making it known that they’ve had enough of the status quo, and that it’s time for things to change.
ANGULAR PHOENIX TRIANGLE: Leo 7 AC sesquiquadrate Pisces Neptune Retrograde sesquiquadrate Scorpio 1 Sun (11° & 14° to 27°) – There’s been a moment patiently waiting for its opportunity to emerge from the shadows, and this election may very well be that moment. Keep in mind that the ideal that comes to light is one that isn’t that of the United States, but rather, of others around the world…. And it’s likely a moment of profound transformation for the United States. With the Scorpio 1 Sun energy in play, this is a powerful transformative moment, and it’s one in which the ideals of the world may push the United States into a confrontation with itself that it has long been avoiding. This is ultimately a good thing, but it may be a rough transition within the United States from where things are now to where things get better. It’ll be a rough ride to the other side of this transformation, but the U.S. is likely to emerge as an entity that is much more positively aligned with the rest of the world.
Capricorn Ceres in 6th House quincunx (Gemini Part of Fortune conjunct Jupiter Retrograde conjunct White Moon Selena in 11th House) (19-20°) – This reveals that the everyday operations of the United States may be irreconcilably out of alignment with the will of the voters represented by the 11th House of this Election Day chart. The United States Government seems to be more focused on its own agenda and goals rather than what its citizens are calling for. This will affect how the people will respond to the election results. Of course, the fact that the people’s will is represented by Gemini and Cancer energy (Gemini primarily) reveals that the voters’ interests are based upon the information they’ve found or been given and their emotions about that information. Therefore, the voters may not be fully aware of what’s behind the government’s decisions. The Jupiter conjunction with White Moon Selena also reveals how much the public still holds the voting process in high regard, and that they believe the process will reflect their will. The question is whether or not that intent will be honored by the government. The ability for the United States to continue forward on its current path will be dependent upon how much the voters believe their process has integrity. The overall fortunes of the United States will depend upon how well the democratic process is perceived as being honored by the United States government. Will the will of its people be honored, or will the will of its people be dismissed? The world will be watching.
NOTABLE TRANSITS FOR THE ELECTION UPON THE UNITED STATES’ NATAL CHART (SIBLY – 5:10p LMT, THURSDAY 4TH JULY 1776, PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA)
EXACT CHIRON RETURN (Aries U.S. Natal Chiron conjunct Election Chiron Retrograde) – (BOTH at 20° Aries – 05’sep) – This is interesting because it indicates that the wounds and weaknesses of the United States’ origins are coming up again to be acknowledged and healed. The transiting/Election Chiron is in retrograde motion, affirming that circumstances outside the United States are forcing it to face its self-identity wounds. The question is… are these wounds being denied and/or ignored again, or will this election finally address – or at least acknowledge – that these wounds are at the root of whatever self-identity issues might be holding back or regressing the United States’ position and role in the world?
The Mars transits are VERY powerful, and indicate there will be a lot of action as result of this election. However, action can take many forms, and though there will be positive actions taken, the transiting Leo Mars connecting with the natal and transiting Pluto positions indicates there could be a great deal of destructive action or violence.
U.S. Natal Gemini Mars conjunct Election’s Gemini Part of Fortune conjunct Jupiter Retrograde conjunct White Moon Selena in U.S. natal 7th House – What we can count on is that people will be inspired to action as result of this election. The thing is… people will take actions which they believe are in the best interests of the country, but they may not acknowledge that these actions are in alignment with what they think other people’s thoughts, ideas, and/or beliefs are about what those “best interests” may be. The U.S. makes statements and takes actions that it thinks will make it look good for its partners and allies, but in the case of this election, those statements and actions will act as catalysts for the United States’ own transformation. Keep in mind that transformation is a death-to-rebirth process, meaning that the “past” or “old” version of the U.S. must give way for a “present” or possibly even “new” version of the U.S. to emerge. The United States is creating its own fortune and setting its future course through this election and the actions it chooses to take in response to and/or in alignment with its result. There’s potential for the U.S. to answer a call to serve a Higher good, but it what is perceived as “good” is likely to be defined by what will best benefit and/or expand the interests of U.S. partners, not necessarily to the benefit of the U.S. itself. Due to Jupiter’s retrograde, it’s also likely that any “good news”, benefits, growth, or expansion that could come out of this election will be delayed.
Election Leo Mars in 8th House opposite PLUTO RETURN (Capricorn U.S. Natal Anti-Vertex conjunct Pluto conjunct Election Pluto) in 2nd House (27-29°) – This is a stark reminder that not only is the U.S. Pluto Return not yet over (it ends 14th December 2024), it’s making its last hurrah during this election and throughout the five weeks that follow it. The election’s Gemini Mars opposing these strong Pluto placements sends a message that actions will be taken in an effort to (re)claim power perceived as being lost or compromised in some way by major changes in power dynamics between individuals/groups/nations that are currently in progress. Leo is all about individual self-expression, yet Capricorn is all about ambition, achievement, and status; so it’s likely that the actions inspired by the election and its results will be driven by a need for acknowledgment of one’s presence, role, and/or place in the community, culture, or world. This need for acknowledgment will be rooted in an effort to (re)claim power or influence over others AND/OR to empower oneself and cover one’s own self-expression insecurities and fears.
*Though it’s quite a large orb (4°), I do feel like I need to acknowledge that the U.S. natal Vertex/Anti-Vertex axis and the Part of Fortune are also in Cancer and Capricorn in the U.S. natal 8th House/2nd House, andare also in play here. The Vertex/Anti-Vertex axis is a magnetic axis. The Vertex side draws things to you, while the Anti-Vertex side is what draws you in. In this case, the U.S. natal Cancer Vertex is trying to draw in emotional investment and support from others (peoples, nations) as a (coercive) flex of power and influence; while its natal Capricorn Anti-Vertex is reminding the U.S. Govt of its ambitions and goals and is encouraging the U.S. to pursue them. This tells me that these are the United States’ foundational goals and ambitions which happen to be (widely) lining up with the afore-mentioned Capricorn Pluto and Leo Mars energies in order to be transformed. In other words, the roles the United States has played for itself and the world – what it was founded upon, what it has stood for, how it has operated, its short-term and long-term objectives – it can no longer continue in the same way. Some significant changes must take place in order for the United States to continue to exist powerfully in the world moving forward, and again – these changes seem to be needed on a physical, material, financial, and/or tangibly-experiential level. The election’s Leo Mars position tells me that someone or something’s ego-driven action(s) may get the better of them and many others at this time – would this be the U.S. itself?
Election Taurus Uranus Retrograde in 6th House trine Capricorn U.S. Natal Anti-Vertex conjunct Pluto conjunct Election Pluto) in 2nd House (25-27-29°) – This indicates major surprises, especially with Uranus in the 6th House of everyday or ordinary life and the daily routine. Uranus’ retrograde motion indicates that the surprises may come from the “outside-in” – and if the U.S. Government is the natal entity, that outside force could be U.S. voters, the citizens of the U.S., and/or foreign entities or officials. Earth energy is at play both in the signs and houses, so the impact is likely to be physical, material, financial, and/or tangibly experiential in nature. This could indicate unexpected events regarding physical buildings or institutions, physical bodies/people, material resources, and/or financial markets. Considering the fact that the election’s Leo Mars is in a wide sextile with the election’s Uranus Retrograde by position but square that Uranus Retrograde by sign, this transit could be the match that lights quite a fire if not an explosion as the Uranus Retrograde position is trine the Pluto positions meaning the unexpected event(s) catalyze a transformation which is likely to affect each and all of us, not just select individuals.
TRANSITS FOR THE ELECTION UPON HARRIS’ PROGRESSED CHART (PROGRESSED TO 2024 ELECTION DAY – BORN 9:28p PST, TUESDAY 20 OCTOBER 1964, OAKLAND, CA):
Harris’ (Progressed Gemini MC and North Node) conjunct Election (Gemini Part of Fortune conjunct Jupiter Retrograde conjunct White Moon Selena) in election’s 11th House – This is a very auspicious transit for Harris, as it indicates that she will likely receive positive support from the public/voters. If I were to get technical, she’ll likely win the popular vote. However, as we know from prior and recent elections, the popular vote is no guarantee of winning the electoral college vote.
Harris’ (Progressed Sagittarius IC conjunct South Node) conjunct Election (Sagittarius Pallas Athena conjunct Venus) – This transit set is a bit more interesting for Harris, as it indicates that her pattern of having others/partners carry her forward is definitely active during this election. This is how she’s found her success until now. This election isn’t going to change that, but it may bring the results of the election into question. She’s always gotten by “with a little help from (her) friends”, and this 2024 election will be no different. The question is… will Harris’ helpful friends be enough to get her into a decisively winning position?
BOTH of the afore-mentioned transit sets are square to Harris’ progressed horizon line (Ascendant and Descendant), with her progressed Mars conjunct her Ascendant. This is an indicator that she could either be called into action or triggered into anger. Her progressed Mars is in the election’s 2nd House, so her action and/or anger is likely to be inspired by something physical/material/financial or it’s likely to manifest in a physical/material/financial way. This could also represent her being on the receiving end of such action or anger, but since there are no retrogrades involved in this particular transit, it’s more likely she is the aggressive presence or that she is triggered into assertive or aggressive action.
There’s a lot in play for how Harris’ sees herself versus how the public sees her – these perceptions may prove to be challenging for all parties involved. Though there’s also a great deal of positive energy for Harris at the time the polls close in the mainland U.S, I have concerns about her winning the election simply because it feels like her winning would be largely due to circumstances and/or conditions outside of her control. I do find it interesting that Harris’ Sedna is widely conjunct the election’s midheaven from its 9th House, indicating that U.S. voters may see Harris as someone who is largely undesirable, but will she be tolerable enough to get enough votes for election victory?
TRANSITS FOR THE ELECTION UPON TRUMP’S PROGRESSED CHART (PROGRESSED TO 2024 ELECTION DAY – BORN 10:28a, FRIDAY 14 JUNE 1946, JAMAICA, QUEENS, NY, USA):
Trump’s progressed Gemini North Node wide conjunct Uranus is a factor for him in regard tothis 2024 election, at first, appears to allow him the ability to create his fortunes. Yet in reality, those fortunes may bring a surprising result. Like Harris, there’s a strong karmic component in place that encourages him to learn new lessons for his good in regard to the court of public opinion and popular culture. However, his progressed Sagittarius South Node make an exact conjunction with Black Moon Lilith Retrograde in his progressed chart, and this indicates that he’s used to operating with and through secrets and shadows, and he’ll want to default to that behavioral norm. But this time, Trump may also be driven by a fear that his secret shadow plans may not being enough to pull him through the election.
Daisy-Chain Stellium: Election Leo Mars conjunct Trump’s progressed Leo Saturn conjunct Midheaven – A very public action regarding Trump’s public identity is likely to take place, and it will either secure or obstruct his place/role/legacy in the public sphere. Trump’s progressed Leo Pluto is conjunct Election’s Leo Ascendant in the 1st House, and this is a big deal because it indicates that this election really will be transformative.
Remembering that transformation is a death in order to create space for a (re)birth, the question is whether or not this is Trump being positioned by the public to emerge victorious like a phoenix from the ashes; or despite the efforts of his supporters, this is Trump being obstructed from winning the election. Trump’s Pluto on the elections’ rising cusp in the election’s 1st House confirms for me that this election is, yet again, more about him than anyone else in the field – that Trump is the defining character of this 2024 election.
The election’s Capricorn Pluto conjuncts Trump’s progressed Ceres in the election’s 6th House, meaning Trump’s values, morals, and ethics will likely be subject to some sort of transformation as well. Through the 2024 election process, our everyday lives could be irrevocably affected by Trump’s own moral compass (or lack thereof), resulting in a massive shift in the values, morals, and ethical core of the United States of America. This conjunction is opposite the election’s Leo Mars, so again – this could be an indicator of actions transforming our societal structures and institutions. However, with Saturn in wide opposition to this conjunction party, these energies could prove detrimental for Trump as whatever occurs may end up hindering him instead of empowering him.
I suspect that even if Trump were to win – by vote or by force -he may have a stress-related health issue that could incapacitate him. That, and/or there could be a possibility of another assassination attempt on his life… but without more (if any) retrograde energies in play, I’m more inclined to suspect an inside-out health incident occurs.
Of course, this will garner an astonishing amount of public attention, which will likely have people playing into all sorts of theories, which due to the Mars positions, may result in violent acts in order to force or facilitate a particular outcome or condition.
There is a chance that the afore-mentioned Saturn-MC influence could prove stabilizing, secure, and act as a structural component in the much-needed transformation of the U.S. institutions and structures… but in totality, this is a curious set of transits for Trump that I don’t think are in his favor.
Trump’s progressed Chiron EXACT OPPOSITION to the U.S. Chiron Return is huge because it indicates that for Trump to “heal” the country must be wounded… but for the country to heal, Trump must be wounded. There isn’t really a scenario where Trump can be wounded and heal at the same time. Trump’s Chiron is in the 3rd House of the election chart indicating child/student energy and intellectual learning, while the election has its Chiron in its 9th House of experiential wisdom and knowledge to be shared with others. There’s a sense through this transit that U.S. voters have learned their lesson from their prior and current experiences with Trump, and are ready to move onto what they believe will truly heal the United States’ wounds from the past. Some may still see him as a solution to the nation’s problems, but it would also speak volumes to what they believe the problems actually are.
SUMMARY:
The confluence of Chiron energies between the Election Day chart and Trump’s chart carries a distinct possibility that this election really does affect his health in some way.
And remember what I said – Harris’ winning would be largely due to circumstances and/or conditions outside of her control.
These two energies together open all sorts of possibilities for the outcome of this election. However, my first and main suspicion is that neither major candidate wins 270 Electoral College votes. This would extend the time for a winner to be declared, and could bring all sorts of chaos and confusion to the United States and the global community.
I also believe there are very valid and likely health concerns for both current President Biden and former President Trump, with one or both of them becoming incapacitated if not passing before Inauguration Day on January 20, 2025. This could place Harris into office as the 47th President of the United States before January 20th, even if she loses the election. This could prove interesting, especially if she does not win the election or if the election is still undecided at the time this could go into effect.
Because of this and other possible pre-inaugural scenarios, I suspect the Vice Presidential candidates and/or the current Speaker of the House of Representatives could play critical roles in the post-election and pre-inaugural events.
I also have a suspicion that because of the chaos that could ensue within and outside of the United States, I also believe it could be possible for the Inauguration of the 47th (and/or 48th) President of the United States to be delayed for the first time in U.S. history.
There’s more I could do to look at the Vice Presidential candidates and the Speaker of the House in the context of the 2024 Election Day chart, but I don’t want to get too ahead of things. Again, prediction isn’t my favorite wheelhouse to play in, and I’d like for things to start playing out before I dive in too much further.
That said, I’ll likely do a follow-up article to this one soon, but I wanted to at least get this one out into the open before Election Day on Tuesday.
Thanks for reading and sharing Signs and Numbers, Until next post…
~ Light and Blessings,
Grace
P.S. – Let’s add a bit on the numerology and outer planet astrology.
The election occurs on a numerological 6 Universal Day. Six energy is, in a nutshell, “mommy energy”, but in both emotional and practical ways. Six days tend to draw our attention to everyday routines, patterns, and processes which often focus on functionality, pragmatism, efficiency, and effectiveness in nurturing, caring, and protective ways. Think of six energy as a combination of Cancer and Virgo energies…
…which makes this 2024 U.S. Presidential Election an even more interesting event because the American people will be both participants and witnesses to whether or not the United States is still functioning in an emotionally and pragmatically healthy way, and the world will be witness to the United States’ process and decision(s).
To be really blunt about it, this 2024 election and its aftermath will answer questions about whether or not the United States is still a functional nation in alignment with founding intentions and its Constitution. It will also have to be determined whether or not the United States can return to those foundational tenets OR if the U.S. can acknowledge that it (and its citizens/people) may have evolved beyond its original intentions and needs. Has the United States come to the point where its operational structures and institutions need to evolve with not only its own people, but with the people and nations of the entire rest of the world? Or will the United States keep trying to restore its past and return to its foundational roots in policy and practice?
To widen the perspective a bit, the election is happening within a 1 Universal Month of new beginnings and fresh starts, which means the election will be planting seeds for the future. Even if nothing breaks out on election day or during the week of the election, be prepared for the election results (or lack thereof) to start showing its seedlings and eventually to bear fruit in the coming weeks, months, and years.
That last statement about the coming years reminds me that this 2024 election is also occurring during an 8 Universal Year of power and influence (2+0+2+4 = 8), so we’ll also get a look at how the outcome of this election will affect the balance of power within the United States AND how it will affect the United States’ power and influence in the world as a whole. After all, the conditions within the U.S. will affect its ability to manage its interests and dealings around the globe, and I strongly suspect that due to the election aftermath and the U.S. Pluto Return aftermath, our government won’t easily be able to keep its eye on both domestic and foreign. Various U.S. Government agencies may start operating in rogue fashion simply because there may not be any clear or stable leadership or direction coming from the United States’ operational core.
In discussing the Universal Year, keep in mind that 2025 will be a 9 Universal Year of fulfillments, completions, endings, and clearings. There will be a large number of shifts and changes in the world, and in our personal/individual lives as result. Any systems, structures, institutions, and entities that are no longer functioning well will likely collapse; while those which are functional will likely cut their losses, end relationships/partnerships that no longer provide benefit, and free themselves up for new opportunities to come.
2026 will be a 1 Universal Year, and those new opportunities, new beginnings, and first steps in new directions will begin. This will also be a time of initiative action, so people may be inspired to take action on things they’ve thought about acting upon for a long time. The United States may finally take actions it has been hesitant to take for a long time on a global stage if they haven’t already in 2025… but U.S. citizens may also be inspired to take action on their ideas within the United States, if they haven’t already started during 2025. It’s more likely that the election results will inspire the “cutting of losses” and “shedding dead weight” phases for the Untied States throughout 2025, and the United States strategizing its (next) strategic steps to be taken in 2026. Therefore, the United States (and its citizens) will be in a position to plant seeds and set a course for its next phase of identity during these next two years…
…but especially in these next few weeks and months post-election.
Remember what I said about the possibilities of no electoral college winner, health problems for Biden and/or Trump, a possibly delayed inauguration, and the potential invoking of the 25th Amendment likely before the traditional January 20th inauguration date (but if not before, still very possible at some point in 2025)? There will be a lot of choices to be made, and a lot of people acting upon their ideals and ideas. Both the numerology and astrology will play a huge role in how this energy actually shows up in our individual and collective experiences, but I felt it was important to add these numerological insights and a bit more astrological insight in as we look at this election and the dominoes it may tip, and the domino effect the election may activate upon things to come.
And back to astrology once more… keep the outer planet movements in mind. I’ll write more about these later, but we may want to learn and remember that Neptune will soon be starting its move into Aries (March 2025), and the ingress of Uranus into Gemini will soon follow that (July 2025).
Neptune moves into Aries in late March 2025, goes out for a moment in October 2025, and re-enters Aries in late January 2027 through into 2039.
Uranus moves into Gemini in July 2025, backs out in November 2025, but re-enters for about 7.5 years in April 2026. Neptune enters Aries for its first taste of that energy in late March 2025, then backs out in October 2025 for a bit before going into the sign in late January 2026 through into 2033. This makes the next couple years a critical crossroads for the United States – a time when actions will be idealized, for better and worse.
Oh, and there’s also an upcoming U.S. Uranus Return (May 2027- March 2029), perfecting in July 2027, November 2027, and May 2028 at 8°55′ Gemini.
Though I assume the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election will be resolved in some way before July 2025, I think it’s important to know what’s coming and what’s at stake for the United States and the world coming out of this election cycle.
Big things ahead…
