Our next Full Moon arrives in Capricorn on Thursday night, July 14th at 11:39p PDT. It ushers in a strong period of results-oriented energy – an energy of accomplishment and fulfillment which inevitably brings an awareness of our successes and failures. Due to the Sun’s continued presence in Cancer, this is likely to be a very personal and emotion-based assessment of who we are and how we are feeling about what we have actually produced as result of our recent life choices.
Full Moon in Capricorn reveals how you are tangibly real in your life. Using the actual results of our endeavors to date as the measure, it brings clear and tangible awareness of who and what is the ‘real deal’ in our lives. It is a great opportunity to assess which relationships in your life are life-affirming and productive, what types of resources are available to you, where you are getting things done in your life and where you are finding the most success, accomplishment, and practical fulfillment in you life.
This Full Moon phase is also a culmination of the energy begun with the New Moon/Eclipse in Cancer on July 1st – the journey to emotional truth and self-love. The emotional truths opened up at that time come (or begin to come) into clarity as the light of the Sun fully exposes the Moon, potentially (and probably) revealing much of the Truth to be found in any long-shadowed emotional matters you may have or have carried. This will help you learn what it will take for you to get real about yourself and your life in the areas of your life that are emotionally important to you. It will also give you access to face and deal with those matters, if you choose to do so.
In choosing to do so, you become fully aware of what you are actually offering to and receiving from others. It is a time of accountability and responsibility for the results your emotional truth has produced up to this point. It is also a time for you to take accountability and responsibility for what you may want to create from here. Some of you will embrace credit and responsibility for these results; others of you will blame others or give away the credit for them to others.
To this point, my experience of this Cancer-Capricorn moon cycle has been pretty extraordinary for me so far.
I have undergone a great deal of personal transformation over the last few years, but I still felt like there was a major and critical piece I was missing or overlooking. There was still something I wasn’t dealing with or facing emotionally, and it was blocking the tangible and emotional fulfillment of my goals and intentions in my life.
I finally tapped into the missing element yesterday.
I attended an intensive coaching session in which I was blessed with extraordinary assistance in truly facing and dealing with a matter that plagued me and the progression of my life’s journey for most of my life.
I’ve known for a long time that I am highly sensitive and empathic to the emotional energy of others. I had already recognized how over the years I increasingly diminished my own Light, playing myself down so others could feel comfortable with me. When I played myself down for others, I ended up making myself deeply unhappy and miserable in the process. My True self wanted to come out and shine brightly and powerfully, and I was hiding and denying it believing that I was being kind or being of service to others in doing so.
The breakthrough came once I saw how my erroneous beliefs about service to others had become so ingrained in my subconscious, my actions and words reflected and reinforced them. I had never realized how automatic my self-diminishing behaviors had become! Yesterday, I was awakened to how easily and delicately I deflected and avoided compliments with, “thanks, but…” responses. I was made aware of how much I tried to adjust and alter my expression to “serve” or win over others rather than allowing them to choose whether or not they wanted to connect or align with me on their own accord. I saw how I would give away advantages or opportunities to others rather than taking them on for myself – how often I gave away my ‘wins’ or rewards in life to boost the self-esteem of others. I never fully realized just how much I was damaging my own self-esteem and self-worth in the process. Finally awakening to my pattern of self-diminishing behaviors has been a huge eye-opener in what it really and truly means to be of service to my self and to others, and it provided me with the missing piece in my journey to self-love.
I am looking forward to this upcoming Full Moon in Capricorn because I am looking forward to what further reveals itself to be the real and tangible result(s) of my recent transformative awakening.
My revelation, lesson and transformation came through being awakened to my erroneous beliefs about service and through being held accountable for my behavior patterns in alignment with that self-detriment. As result, I now choose to take responsibility for changing my beliefs in this regard to embrace my full self-expression in my journey to my fullest experience of self-love and self-expression.
I don’t know what it is or might be for you. What I can say is that this Cancer-Capricorn moon cycle is an amazing opportunity to find out. Use this time to discover the ‘real deal’ about yourself and your life – the tangible emotional reality of your life as it is or is becoming right now.
