Relationships aren’t always easy. They take effort to maintain, and often that work is best done within ourselves. With Venus in Leo, your partnerships of all kinds (and your roles within them) either attract attention or may be brought to Light to be seen. Their radiance and creative energy is on display, and yet even within a partnership, you can only shine as brightly as you have been honest with yourself about who you are and the Light and darkness you have within you. Your partner may help you see where you still dim your Light, and in doing so, they may teach you how to shine more brightly.
Either way, there is external support for the emotional responsibility you may be taking for your inner self through Saturn Retrograde in Scorpio – even if it doesn’t feel very supportive.
After all, it’s not easy to face your darkness when you are being called into Light. Many of us are ashamed of our dark sides, ashamed of what may surface if we really go in and deal with our inner demons. However, for your relationships to be real and true, you must be willing to expose yourself fully – both your Light and darkness – to your partners, and that starts with exposing yourself to yourself.

Also recognize how you are teaching your partner as well. We often forget that both people are fully involved in any relationship – each gets to do both, learn and teach. It’s not only about learning and being subservient; it’s also about shining your Light and facing your darkness so that your partner can learn what they are capable of through the mirror or contrast you provide for them.
When there is a balanced exchange (or awareness of the balanced exchange) of learning and teaching between partners, when there is a complete revelation of each person’s darkness and Light, there is the opportunity for the partnership to become more solid and secure, and frankly, more real than ever.
Embrace the opportunity to be teacher and student in your relationships during the effects of this Venus square Saturn Retrograde transit. Embrace the opportunity for something truly real with others in your life by facing your darkness so you may know and be the real and most brilliant you with them.
