The 2026 Pisces Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse occur on 27th/28th August 2026, with the maximum (96%) coverage of the eclipse occurring at 9:12p PDT, and the Full Moon’s maximum phase occurring six minutes later at 9:18p PDT (4°54’) on 27th August 2026.
A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow upon the Moon’s surface as the Earth blocks the Moon’s reflection of the Sun’s light. In an experiential interpretation, this means that our emotional and intuitive truths may be hindered or complicated by what is happening in our earthly/human/mundane world, individually and/or collectively.
The Virgo-Pisces axis is “The Axis of Service”, and while the Virgo Sun shines its light upon the practice of service in our everyday lives, the Pisces Moon brings us into greater awareness of the emotional or spiritual truths and beliefs that give meaning and purpose to our acts of service.
For those of us finding ourselves affected by worldly priorities “disrupting” the Moon’s reflection of the Sun’s light, this is a call to recognize where and how we may be out of alignment with (or altogether disconnected from) our intuitive and spiritual selves in the matters of our day-to-day lives.

A big part of this 2026 Pisces Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse dynamic is the role of Mercury in this event, representing our thoughts and communications. At max phase, Mercury is in cazimi with the Virgo Sun, meaning thoughts and words could be incendiary at this time – think “burning bridges.” These bridges could burn as result of truths being brought to light, despite valiant efforts made to cover them up. In fact, the cover-ups may very well end up revealing the truths they’re intended to hide.
How do these truths get exposed? By misalignments.

This may also bring opportunities to speak up about and/or sever ties with people and activities that don’t feel aligned with your inner (emotional and spiritual) truth. This Full Moon may help walk away from the people and things you give practical service and support to that don’t allow you to ask for or the receive service and support you need.
Numerologically, the Lunar Eclipse’s max eclipse and the Full Moon’s max phase occur on either a 9 Universal Day of completions and endings, or a 1 Universal Day of new beginnings. However, with the Full Moon lending itself to completions, these energies occurring in last days of a 9 Universal Month within a 1 Universal Year, these new beginnings are likely to be born from endings that have been a long time coming. There is something about this 2026 Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse that feels like that feeling of “waiting for the other shoe to drop” is finally over, and that shoe is finally taking its step and making its presence known.
The energy of this 2026 Virgo Full Moon will be felt from 24th through 30th August 2026, but the energy of this Partial Lunar Eclipse will be felt for the next six months into February 2027.
