Only two days after the Sun’s 2026 ingress into Scorpio, the 2026 Taurus Full Moon reaches its maximum phase at 9:12p PDT on 25th October 2026 (2°45’).

The big news around this particular Taurus Full Moon phase is that there are six planets/celestial bodies in retrograde motion at the time of maximum phase – Mercury in Scorpio, Venus in Libra, Saturn in Aries, Chiron in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, and Neptune in Aries. Four of these retrogrades are occurring in cardinal modality signs (Aries and Libra). The retrogrades create a strong introspective energy, bringing attention to the emotions we are feeling, and the cardinal energy brings initiative energy that is eager to bring new beginnings to a number of aspects of our personal lives. This will most likely translate into choices to start on a new personal/individual path in one or more areas of one’s life.

Of course, new beginnings are usually the domain of New Moon phases. However, under the 2026 Taurus Full Moon, this may very well mark the harvest of new beginnings seeded in the past. However, the harvest we experience may not be as bountiful as expected or hoped.

Taurus is fixed earth energy that is often associated with our lifestyle (or survival) resources – the physical, material, and/or financial resources that support our self-identities and/or our lifestyles. The Moon is associated with our emotional and intuitive awareness. Therefore, this 2026 Taurus Full Moon is making us feel something (emotionally and/or intuitively) about our lives and livelihoods. As the Scorpio Sun reveals the truths that have been hidden in the shadowy emotional depths underneath social pretenses and performances, the Taurus Moon is asking us to acknowledge how we really feel about these revelations.

That said, much of what is happening right now in our societal and worldly institutions is trying to get us to avoid or ignore how we actually feel about our current physical and material realities. As we’re being asked to seek out entertainment or pleasure activities rather than information and insights into what is really happening in the world around us, many of us are distracted enough to believe we “don’t care” about all that’s going on.

Yet this Taurus Full Moon brings questions that we may no longer be able to avoid.
Some of the questions that are likely to arise during this 2026 Taurus Full Moon phase:

  • Is all that is happening affecting me on a physical, material, and/or financial level?
  • If so, how do those physical, material, and/or financial effects make me feel on the emotional level?
  • Can I continue to live with these effects, both physically and/or emotionally?

These questions may seem somewhat dramatic, but they are appropriately so. For many people, we really are at a point collectively and individually where these questions hold legitimacy.

As more individuals recognize their real positions in the current institutional frameworks and social structures (many of which are now being phased out), the more people may recognize that they no longer know how to feel safe and/or secure in their lifestyles. The less safe and secure they feel, the more they feel like there’s nothing left to lose. Releasing the fear of loss is what fuels rebellion against the status quo.

One of the astrological transits in effect at the 2026 Taurus Full Moon’s maximum phase is Aquarius Juno conjunct Pluto, which is a commitment to the transformation of society through technology and/or the evolution of humanity-at-large. Transformation is the process of death and rebirth – think a caterpillar emerging from the chrysalis as a butterfly, or a phoenix rising from the ashes. It is the death of a former way of being in order to emerge as something new and more aligned with who you actually are on a soul level. This transit aligns well with the numerological 9 Universal Day energy that is present in North America and all points west of it at the time of the Moon’s maximum phase.

However, the 2026 Taurus Full Moon’s maximum phase occurs on a numerological 1 Universal Day for the rest of the world, and along with the overarching 1 Universal Year energy, it’s these new beginnings that are really empowered during this 2026 Taurus Full Moon. The energy of new beginnings is also empowered by the previously-mentioned cardinal mode energies of Aries and Libra in the retrogrades.

The most interesting numerological correspondence, though, may be found in the 2 Universal Month energy. Two corresponds with the Moon and with Venus Retrograde in Libra which is introspectively focused on our one-on-one relationships of all kinds. This indicates shifts in our relationships with not only other people, but with communities, institutions, societies, and possibly even humanity-at-large. By seeing who we truly are in our relationships with others, we may discover that we’re ready for new relationships with the world and the people around us. Some connections will come to an end, making way for new connections to begin; and all of it will have to do with how we emotionally and intuitively feel about our current physical, material, and financial realities.

Here are some details about the astrological transits within 3° orb at the time of the 2026 Taurus Full Moon’s maximum phase:

T-SQUARE: Scorpio Sun opposite Taurus Moon square (Aquarius Juno conjunct Pluto) (0-3°) – As more truths are brought to light from the shadows, the more people are committed to humanity’s evolution and in some cases, revolution. For some people, transformation comes through technology. For other people, that transformation comes from humanity pushing back on technology.

(wide) NODAL GOLDEN RECTANGLE: Aries Chiron Rx trine Leo South Node sextile Libra Venus Rx trine (Aquarius Juno conjunct Pluto Rx) (27-0°) – The pain of imbalanced partnerships either forms karmic ties or inspires the healing of them. These are likely connections that have some degree of commitment to them that could transcend space and time or form connection across multiple lifetimes. Vows or promises made create the karmic ties, where fulfilling or forgiving any vows or promises broken may resolve them.

Gemini Sedna conjunct Uranus Rx (2-4°) – Victims are given a voice, and their voices encourage non-conformist behaviors or social rebellion, and inspire institutional change. The changes, of course, start within you as you realize that your voice may not be taken as seriously as you wanted or hoped.

Aquarius Juno conjunct Pluto (0-3°) – As previously stated, a commitment to transformation on a personal and collective level, usually in the context of social, humanitarian, and/or technological matters.

The energy of the 2026 Taurus Full Moon will be felt from 22nd October through 28th October 2026.
