The Sun in Leo encourages you (and each of us) to shine your unique individual expression of Light with as much brilliance and boldness as we can muster. That said, you also may find that as you step into your Light more fully and shine more brightly, others around you are likely to respond for better or worse to whom you are making yourself known to be.
These responses and reactions of others to your self-expression help you understand how you are showing up in the world, and give you an opportunity to find out how you are actually showing up for others (and yourself) in the world around you. These responses and reflections of self are at their most prominent when the Moon is at its fullest in the sign of Aquarius at 11:10a PDT tomorrow, Sunday, 10th August 2014. Yet there are a few things that make the 2014 Full Moon in Aquarius itself more unique than others.
The Sun-Moon opposition (18.03°) will occur within orb to create a T-Square configuration with Saturn in Scorpio (just barely 17°). In fact, this T-Square will be at its most exact shortly before the Full Moon opposition as the Aquarius Moon makes exact square to Saturn en route to its exact opposition to the Leo Sun. This T-Square is an indicator that the strength of the emotional-support structures you have built will provide a pivot point of assessment for you.
- Do the groups/communities/teams/circle you are part of truly welcome, embrace, and encourage your unique self-expression, OR do they push you to become someone you aren’t in order to fit in or belong?
- Do you feel liberated and appreciated among your peers – encouraged and empowered to be your True self fully expressed, OR do you feel oppressed by them or believe that you have to suppress or repress yourself in order to maintain your social and professional circles?
This Full Moon-T-Square may help you recognize exactly where and how you are being received by your peers. That clarity may help you realize where you need to be going; what you need to be doing in order to be your most authentic, unique, and fully-expressed self in the world; and where you can best contribute what you have to offer to others.
However, the self-expression epiphanies that emerge during this 2014 Aquarius Full Moon are only enhanced by the fact that Aquarius’ ruler, Uranus, is travelling retrograde in Aries at the time of this Aquarius Full Moon. Uranus is, interestingly enough (at 16.33°), also within orb of the Sun, Moon, and Saturn at the time of this Full Moon – trine to the Sun, sextile to the Moon, and quincunx/inconjunct to Saturn. Uranus in Aries makes sure that you have plenty of focus on who you are as an individual independently of others, and helps you assess whether or not you are being all that you want and feel called from within to be in your life and self-expression. It provides an identity check, especially in retrograde motion as you are a bit more conscious of others’ responses to you during this time. Uranus Retrograde in Aries in aspect to this Full Moon ensures that there will be a heightened awareness of your identity and how you are able to express yourself as an individual within your current social and professional circles.
All of this energy comes together to have you questioning your emotional-spiritual support structures. Are you where you belong? Are the people around you who you need to be around? Or is it time for you to make some changes in order to establish a support structure which truly supports your ongoing individual transformation – a transformation which enables you to shine your Light more brilliantly in order to make a bigger and brighter contribution to the world? Mercury in Leo will also still be in orb with this whole Sun–Moon-Saturn-Uranus collection on the back end (at 19°), and may give you a voice when &/or where you might otherwise not have or give yourself one – a voice to share your answers with the people who need to hear and understand them.
And as if that weren’t enough, this 2014 Aquarius Full Moon is also THE supermoon of 2014. That phrase gets tossed around quite a bit, much to my annoyance. However, it is intended to be used when the Moon’s orbit brings the Moon into its closest proximity to the Earth. This 2014 Aquarius Full Moon is THE supermoon of 2014 – the closest movement a Full Moon will make to the Earth this calendar year. That said, the energy of this 2014 Aquarius Full Moon will be felt very powerfully as the realizations you make about yourself and your communities may bring major changes to support structures you never imagined would waver, falter, and/or need to be changed.
Recognize that you are on a search for your “tribe” – for the people who assist you in making the necessary transformations in your inner self and in your outer life that help you become your most brilliant expression of yourself and all you have to offer to the world. It’s time to find exactly where you belong.
You need to do it for you, and we need you to do it for you and for us. We’ve been waiting for you to show up. The world needs your Light, and this 2014 Aquarius Full Moon may help you find it and shine it like no other.
