And even more craziness ensues…
As I was completing Part One of this post series, two more law-enforcement involved shooting incidents occurred today which are making the national news headlines here in the U.S. – one in St. Joseph, Michigan and one in Sacramento, California.
These events reveal that the effect of the Water Grand Trine from the previous post is continuing, only now Mercury replaces Venus in the Cancer slot with Mars in Scorpio and Chiron Retrograde in Pisces still in position. There is more dialogue about these matters as people are looking for ways to deal with them effectively. The Sagittarius Saturn Retrograde square of Pisces Neptune Retrograde conjunct South Node is also still in effect, challenging those who are honoring their duty and responsibility to align with truth to interact with those who either hold a vision for everyone to come together in peaceful, loving Oneness and/or with those who delusionally believe they can continue the status quo of a compromised institution.
The two new things on this day, 11th July 2016, are:
- Even though the Cancer Sun-Capricorn Pluto Retrograde opposition is technically outside 3° orb, the opposition is still in effect due to the Libra Moon squaring both to form a Cardinal Lunar T-Square This configuration will only last for a few hours in the middle of the day (mid-morning to late afternoon). This indicates that there is a lot of emotional charge around what is fair, just, or equal, and individuals and institutions alike are being challenged to answer those questions for themselves and others.
- The other configuration will be around for a couple of days – another T-Square involving Ceres in Aries, Venus in Cancer, and Juno in Scorpio, blending Cardinal and Fixed modal energies. Today, this shows up as mostly emotion-driven energies which are challenging people to look at their behaviors to recognize their real emotion-driven values, beliefs, and commitments. But at 11:34p PDT on the 11th, Venus moves into Leo adding fire to the formation and people may make unprecedented and passionate demands for acknowledgment of their emotional states. And with two of the bodies in fixed energy as well, there is a noticeable ‘digging in’ and standing firm in certain perspectives on these matters.
Along with these T-Squares,
The Water Grand Trine energy takes a break for about 36 hours starting mid-day on 12th July, but it comes back with a vengeance late on the 13th July when the Cancer 7 Sun comes in to occupy the Cancer slot. The Sun brings everything to light, and joins Mars in Scorpio and Chiron Retrograde in Pisces to reveal where the emotional-spiritual healing work needs to be focused. For about 5 days (through 19th July), this Sun-charged Water Grand Trine energy will be in effect, bringing all kinds of factual truth to light – truths which will help make it very clear how everyone feels about what is happening in their experiences of the world right now. If you’re not sure how deep the wounds and emotions run, be ready to find out during this time. This 13th-19th July Grand Trine period could prove to be a more volatile time than the Grand Trine energy from 4th-12th, or it could show up as a profoundly pro-active time for healing. But with Uranus still in Aries and Mars still in Scorpio, it’s more likely that matters get worse before they get better.
The Saturn Retrograde conjunction continues squaring Pisces Neptune conjunct South Node, challenging us and others to align with a responsibility to truth. But on 15th July, the Moon conjuncts Saturn Retrograde in Sagittarius for an emotional experience of truth – one which may help some people face some hard facts about themselves and their beliefs, hopefully encouraging a healing shift.
There will be other transits as well, but those are the major ones.
So what does all of this mean?
It means we’re on the cusp of individual and collective transformation.
Transformation isn’t just change. It’s an absolute ending of one way of being to allow the absolute beginning of another way of being to emerge. Think butterfly – imagine this caterpillar spinning itself into a chrysalis, dissolving into a glop of DNA goo, only to have that goo come back together to form a body and wings and emerge from the chrysalis as a butterfly. THAT is transformation.
The thing is…we really have to allow the old way of being to die before the new way of being can be born. And seeing as most humans have a fear of death, we can see the difficult path in front of us. People may be saying they want circumstances to change, but they don’t want to be the ones who undergo the process for those changes to actually occur. They want to maintain their comfort zone and stay alive while everyone else ‘dies’. They want to maintain their status quo while everyone else goes through the challenges.
Yet the reality is this – this transformation is happening whether we like it or not. And it’s NOT going to be comfortable for ANY of us! We get to look at ourselves and our surroundings with eyes and minds and hearts wide open if we are going to transform this world in a positive way…and that may require us to see ourselves in ways we may not like or enjoy for a while. There will be some hard lessons and rude awakenings for each and every one of us if we’re going to take these steps honestly and earnestly. Yet if we are willing to do it, we may be able to release those old ways of being and emerge from the darkness more brilliant and radiant than we ever could have imagined.
Remember…
- Capricorn Pluto Retrograde is helping us collapse the powers-that-be.
- Neptune Retrograde in Pisces is helping us see and come to terms with where and how we delude ourselves and/or avoid our emotional-spiritual truths.
- Uranus in Aries is helping us organize our actions and helping us come together while contributing to our collective causes in unique ways.
- Juno in Scorpio is all-in – diving deep into the emotional darkness to find and align with what you truly feel. There is no halfway or indecision. A clear, decisive commitment to your intentions is the only way you can trust and be trusted emotionally.
- Ceres is in Aries for a bit longer, currently rooting our personal values in self-identity and individuality. Yet once it enters Taurus on 16th July, our personal values will shift to a need to our lives comfortably if not just to survive.
- Chiron Retrograde is in Pisces, helping to reveal our emotional-spiritual wounds so we can see them and begin effectively healing them.
- Saturn Retrograde in Sagittarius is reminding us of our duty and responsibility to truth, authenticity, and the focus and discipline it requires to adhere to that level of integrity.
- Jupiter in Virgo is helping us grow and expand upon whatever is providing workable solutions for our challenges.
- Mars is in Scorpio, producing the emotional fire needed to take a stand for ourselves through passionate, decisive, and possibly extreme actions.
- Venus is now entering Leo, making it easier for us to draw attention to our causes…and making it easier to share the stage with those who are like-minded and also needing to be seen and/or heard.
- Mercury is still in Cancer, giving voice to our emotions. Yet it will enter Leo on the 13th, demanding to have its ideas, thoughts, and words seen, heard, understood, and acknowledged.
It’s time to use all of these astrological energies and our minds, hearts, and voices to be the change we want to see in the world.
Embrace your awakening. Embrace your transformation. The time is now.
Again, RIP to all who have died in these conflicts, here and around the world. Sending love and gratitude to their souls for all they have contributed to our journeys, and sending peace and love to their families and loved ones who mourn their absences.
Thank you for reading and sharing Signs and Numbers. Until next post…

Hi Grace ~
Thanks for this amazing info, and how beautifully you present it! VERY helpful and grounding in these turbulent times.
My question is Why haven’t you publicized your speaking event at East West Books? I will definitely be there, and was surprised to learn about it on their website and not yours. Did I miss something?
Thanks so very much for all you do for so many (including ME!)
Love and light ~
Debbie
