It was another moment in history for the United States of America as Donald J. Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. Much like when a person is born and a birth chart is drafted for their time, date, and place of birth, events can also be natalized at their moment of inception. In this case, the Trump Administration was born when his oath of office was completed at 12:00:19pm EST on Friday, 20th January 2017 in Washington D.C., U.S.A.
We’re going to first look at the planetary placements and aspects natalized for the Trump Administration. Please note that this is about his administration, NOT about him specifically.
To learn more about him as an individual, you’ll need to read the articles I did back in May 2016 during his candidacy, and in November 2016 just after his election.
To learn more about how he will function with and within his administration, keep reading.
But we’ll start with what I call the “Core Six” of the Trump Administration.
- The Trump Administration is initiated on a 4 universal day (2 + 0 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 7 = 13; 1 + 3 = 4) under an Aquarius Sun. This means that the administration has an Aquarius 4 Sun in the 10th house of its chart. My nickname for Aquarius 4 energy is “The Unlikely Pillar” – an administration which is expected to be unconventional, unreliable, unpredictable, and downright eccentric yet will have a surprising degree of stability and structure. People may be amazed at how much of a reliable and dependable public presence this unusual administration will able to develop. However, it will also be a stubborn administration that will resist change and influence that is not self-initiated. It will be reliable and dependable for others on its own terms, and may become very insular, circling the wagons often to maintain a stable core. It will be publicly and professionally/politically known that this administration is not afraid nor ashamed to protect itself and its own.
- The administration has a Taurus 3 ascendant, meaning that it sees itself as “One That Touches Things”. Despite any off-the-cuff statements which may be communicated, it won’t be satisfied making choices about anything without having a tangible or physical experience with it. It will prefer to meet with people in person and deal with others in material, physical, or financial terms which would be beneficial to both parties…but on the Trump administration’s terms. Though it will seem open-minded, the administration knows what it’s looking for when it goes in, and will be very unwilling to budge from its original intentions or comfort zone. Even if they seem to take genuine interest in learning about those they interact with, they aren’t trying to be friendly – the Trump administration is trying to learn about what others value so they can negotiate with those others in order to create something that’s more comfortable and favorable for the Trump administration and the United States of America.
- The administration has a Capricorn 2 midheaven, meaning others see the Trump Administration as an “Accountability Partner”. The administration may be seen as an ambitious bunch which will need a LOT of assistance in order to achieve its goals, yet will likely take all of the credit for whatever positive results the partnerships produce while blaming their partners for any negative or failed endeavors or elements and framing it as holding their partners “accountable”. Yet others may not see the Trump administration as the leaders or driving force of any of their partnerships, either. In fact, other nations may avoid giving the Trump administration any credit for their role in the partnership as well, doing what they expect Trump and his administration to do to them before Trump and his people can actually do it. Public and foreign relations will be very interesting under this administration, just based on this chart position alone.
- The relationships become more even complicated because the Trump administration has a Scorpio Black Moon Lilith in the 7th house of its chart, indicating that there will be an intense desire to establish deep trust-based connections with any partner individuals, states, nations, and entities. If trust cannot be established or if trust is betrayed, the other party will be cut off completely. And in the case of betrayal, be ready to see some extremely retributive action on the part of the entire administration if they perceive slights in any way. This administration will not take betrayal of trust lightly, and will make sure that whomever and whatever crosses them will be shut out permanently. It will be interesting to see how far this administration will be willing to go to exercise their perception of “justice”. And speaking of justice, due to Scorpio’s tendency to extremes, matters will likely be looked at and addressed through all-or-nothing terms. There will be negotiations, but no compromises – balances, but not necessarily equality. Extremes are decisive, and this administration will definitely strive to maintain clearly-defined terms in their partnerships with others by dealing/negotiating with extreme positions. And the complications keep coming with the administration’s Taurus White Moon Selene in the 12th house, indicating quite a bit of idealism if not delusion in regard to resources availability and what can actually be accomplished in manifest reality in an ethical manner. This isn’t to say nothing will get done, but it is to say that lofty expectations may go unfulfilled, resulting in very deep disappointments and outburst of anger and possibly aggression…and also resulting in rather excessive celebrations when things do go as hoped, in order to cover up and/or escape from the clouds of other disappointments.
- The administration has the Virgo North Node in the 5th House of the chart and Pisces South Node in its 11th house, indicating that it’s their already-mastered karma that is rooted in unifying/aligning with public opinion Serving the people was the vision shared by Trump, and it resonated for those who felt unheard or ignored – they heard his words and shared his vision and his ideals and followed through with their votes, but due to Pisces’ rose-colored glasses tendencies, his campaign and victory may also have provided an unrealistic assessment of where “the people” all actually stand in the context of the administration. The administration itself may have a much different ideal that the one they presented to the public. With the Virgo North Node in its 5th house, the Trump Administration must now create and implement a practical service plan – they must create a path of service which actually serves people in positive and uplifting manner on an everyday level and in everyday ways. They are being looked to for unifying and healing a divided nation, and it will be interesting to see how they actually go about doing that in pragmatic terms.
- And then there is the Moon placement of the Trump administration – it’s “heart”. Its Moon is also in the sign of Scorpio, but in the 6th house of everyday service – this is the house of work and daily life. Like every administration, this administration will have a lot of work to do, and it will often feel like its work of service is never done. Yet this administration will be assessed through its impact on the everyday lives of others. Its emotional investment is in transforming the everyday lives of others, and it will be counting on others to give them the emotional support they need to be of service. The danger here is that if the administration doesn’t feel like it is being emotionally supported in its everyday efforts and progress, it may try and control or manipulate others to get the support it believes it deserves. It will tend to emotional extremes because that’s what Scorpio does, and it will be up to those the administration ‘serves’ to deal with its sudden and often extreme mood swings.
Now to the cycles and aspects:
- This administration is making its start under the influence of a 1 universal year energy and a 5 “personal” year energy.
- The 1 universal year energy is the energy of new beginnings, fresh starts, and initiative action. This indicates that the Trump administration will be part of a global movement to take initiative action to assert individuality, independence, and self-leadership. It can also be assertive or aggressive, so be ready to see challenges and conflicts of all kinds increasing during this year as people and communities strive to (re)claim their independence and freedom.
- The 5 “personal” year energy is the energy of change, adaptability, unpredictability, and unconventionality. This reveals that the administration will likely bring about many changes and need to deal with many unpredictable events which occur in especially unconventional or unusual ways in its first year of existence. These could result in bringing about many changes for U.S. citizens resulting in new beginnings for many.
- Vertex conjunct Jupiter in Libra in its 6th house – The administration draws in people and experiences which likely increase its already substantial work load, giving it more problems which need to be solved and more imbalances which need balancing. All of these will need practical solutions if the administration is to grow and expand its positive pragmatic service presence.
- opposite Anti-Vertex conjunct Uranus in Aries in its 12th house – The administration’s attention will be drawn toward the advocacy actions of the public. However, because Uranus rules mass communications and technology, they will also be eager to avoid addressing those matters in public and will attempt to escape or avoid them altogether through trying to spin public perception of those acts in their favor OR by playing victim to those who are making revolutionary or rebellious stands against the work they perceive the administration is doing. The challenge here for the administration is that the people are making their presence known through collaborative efforts – many of these larger entities are made up of groups with different interests yet a few common goals. It is those common goals that will be difficult for the administration to address one matter without looking like they are supporting the agendas they do not agree with. For this reason, the administration may be inclined to see any and all challenges to their daily operations as things to ignore until they can no longer be ignored…at which point they may be met with aggressive counter-measures. Whatever this administration cannot ignore or deny, they will likely fight to eliminate.
- sextile Saturn conjunct Juno in Sagittarius in its 8th house – This administration will also draw in those who have a strong, unwavering commitment to seeking and finding truth in all its forms, and a great deal of self-discipline self in honoring those truths once found. For this reason, the administration may tend to exaggerate truth in order to seem more powerful OR it may also experience limitations to its exertion of power due to its commitment to be in control or have control over the truth and truth-based circumstances. It won’t really enjoy having people and organizations prodding into its secrets or questioning its power. By staying focused on its everyday work and by keeping the focus on its daily acts of pragmatic service to the people, the administration can alleviate some of the drama surrounding the emerging truths by increasing awareness of its work.
- Speaking of that Saturn-Juno conjunction in Sagittarius, this again indicates a very strong and disciplined commitment to factual and experiential truth. Yet with the Saturn-Juno conjunction in the 8th house, there is a question about how those truths will be hidden or wielded by this administration for power and influence. This is where Trump’s administration could boost his power in a genuine way – through practical means of balancing the imbalances and healing the everyday lives of all U.S. citizens. But the challenge they will have is in their perception of the U.S. citizenry and the citizens’ perception of the administration. If it ignores the common folk to focus on the financial and business elites, the administration may actually do more harm than good to the people of this nation. Will the imbalances increase or decrease is the question which will need to be answered.
- square Chiron conjunct Mars in Pisces in its 11th – The administration’s ability to heal social/societal emotional-spiritual wounds may be challenged by factual truths. Its actions will heal or harm, depending on how victimized it feels by popular opinion. It is likely to attack a negative public opinion by using mass media to playing victim to sway opinion OR by playing victim to the media itself as a way of controlling the narrative.
- Saturn in Sagittarius in 8th trine Uranus in Aries in 12th – In its efforts to control the exposure of factual truth and/or in its attempts to prevent factual truths from emerging, the administration will either celebrate or play victim to groups of activists and communities which are taking collective and/or collaborative action to make their opinions and perspectives known. Since Saturn represents authority and discipline, expect the administration to use its authoritative powers to ‘discipline’ the masses as it sees fit. This aspect works strongly to the administration’s advantage, though efforts to control or restrict factual truth may also encourage individuals to take action on behalf of their communities, empowering rebellious actions from individuals through community unity – people coming together to heal humanity as they see fit.
- Juno in Sagittarius in 8th trine Ceres in Aries in 12th – The commitment to discovering and uncovering truth about power encourages individuals to stand up and take action on behalf of their own values and morals AND to stand for the values of All-That-Is. It also empowers them to take physical or material actions to defend their values. This aspect favors the people/the general public, though their actions may empower the administration to take actions to force the people to align with its values and morals.
- Capricorn 2 MC square Ceres in Aries in 12th – This aspect challenges the administration to stand up for itself in the face of what it may perceive as others’ disrespect. This will be due to the fact that other nations may not take the Trump administration seriously as a leadership body, or will attempt to put the administration in a secondary or submissive position in diplomatic matters. It will need to assert itself to gain the value and respect it believes it deserves from the rest of the world…but it would also be wise for the administration not to treat other nations with the same disrespect it feels it is receiving. This is definitely a time for “treating others as (it) wish(es) to be treated” despite how the others may treat it. Proving its value through the pursuit and fulfillment of its policy goals will go a long way in defining this administration’s place and role in the world.
- Pluto in Capricorn in 9th sextile Venus in Pisces in 11th – The transformation of societal institutions and structures will occur in a big way under this administration, and it will work with anyone or anything which promises to promote its idealistic agenda. This administration will learn as it goes, yet it will learn a lot as it will likely be challenged every step of the way, which is why it will seek advocates who can help smooth its image and/or reputation with the public. Once members of the administration start getting the hang of their roles, be ready to start receiving “lessons” from the administration about how powerful they are and how they can use their power to influence the public in their favor.
- Scorpio Moon in 6th trine Pisces Neptune in 11th – This may be THE most concerning aspect of the Trump administration’s chart – a powerful emotional investment in the everyday functionality of the country which is rooted in truly wanting to heal the nation socially. Working tirelessly if not obsessively to implement lofty social and societal ideals, the administration’s intense emotional trust issues are amplified by their idealism and/or self-delusion. They will likely feel a need to get to the bottom of every perceived offense or betrayal no matter how ordinary or small, which could lead to unrealistic expectations regarding the impact of their work on the public, unfulfilled expectations of how the public will receive their work, and possibly a great deal of paranoia about who and what is keeping the public from seeing things its way. This could also encourage a deceptive or idealized representation of the daily activities of the administration, making it unwilling or unable to see itself with a critical eye and very sensitive to those who do see it in a challenging or negative light.
Now let’s look at how President Trump’s own personal chart fits into that of his administration:
- DJT’s Uranus-Gemini 7 North Node –Gemini 4 Sun stellium is in the 2nd house of his administration’s chart – His claim to fame is his business sense – he’ll now have a chance to prove it. With his public notoriety, his karmic lesson, and his core energy all in the 2nd house of his administration’s chart, he’ll be expected to “put up or shut up” in regard to his business savvy. He’s talked a big game, and now he’ll need to literally put our money where his mouth is. His entire term will be focused on how well he is able to manage our resources.
- DJT’s Sagittarius 7 South Node conjunct Sagittarius 5 Moon is in the 8th house of his administration’s chart – He thinks he knows everything…especially about how to be control over people and situations. This is an emotional need for him – to prove he knows more than others…even if they really do know more than him. His confidence will be challenged when he realizes that others really do know more factual truth than he does, and that he’s going to be in a student role for most if not all of his term learning from them, which will likely trigger his emotionally insecurities and fears about not being in full control of his circumstances. If he’s making changes for change’s sake, that’s usually a solid indicator that he’s acting out of emotional insecurity, trying to regain control over others in his environment.
- The placements of DJT’s solar stellium and lunar conjunction also complete a Golden Rectangle configuration with his administration chart. This is a very auspicious configuration, and indicates 1) that he will be very effective in shaping his public image, and 2) instead of caving to public pressure for him to change his ways, he will more likely double down on his positions and do all he can to shut down dissent. But the more he tries to squelch dissent, the more his dissenters will fight for balance and justice. He’ll need to interact with the public differently that he usually does – he’ll need to be honest and forthcoming. And he’ll need to follow through on what he says he will do – he won’t be able to do his usual duplicity thing if he wants to maintain the good favor of the public. If he can manage this, he may maintain a very (an increasingly) positive public image throughout his term.
- DJT’s Leo 11 Ascendant is in the 5th house of his administration’s chart – He is determined to create a larger-than-life public image for himself through his presidency, and he will expect the members of his administration to help him do this. He sees this presidency as his greatest act of creative self-expression.
- DJT’s Taurus 5 Midheaven is in the 1st house of his administration’s chart – He will allow change around him…but only on his terms. He will be seen as the formidable identity of his administration –everyone will know (or thinks they know) he’s running the show. And he’ll make sure it looks like he is leading the show, even if that’s less the actual case behind the scenes.
- DJT’s Aries 7 WM Selene is in the 12th house of his administration’s chart – He will often act intuitively and impulsively, and that may be a problem as his intuitive instincts will (subconsciously) be whatever is in his own individual self-interest. He’ll earnestly (albeit delusionally) believe he’s making the best choice for everyone involved, while in reality, everyone around him is sent into panic trying to bring order to the chaos he’s probably begun through his actions.
- DJT’s Sagittarius 7 BM Lilith is in the 7th house of his administration’s chart – He does want to increase his reputation for being authentic and honest with people. He wants others to look to him as someone who can be trusted more than anything else. He’ll likely approach this one person or event at a time. It will be a very slow process, though.
- DJT’s Saturn conjunct Venus in Cancer is in the 3rd house of his administration’s chart – This is an interesting aspect placement in that he is naturally challenged in forming balanced one-on-one relationships as it is. Now, as President, he will need to be willing to listen more than he talks. What other leaders may find is that he is actually great one-on-one – much more mature and focused when he’s not on a public stage. The challenge for him is that he will need to display that same maturity in the public eye as he does in private.
- This conjunction is trine his administration’s Mars-Chiron conjunction in Pisces in 11th. He will have to learn how to communicate with more compassion to the citizens of the nation. Though the trine is a “positive” aspect, this will be a challenge for him as the administration may restrict him from communicating as freely as he might otherwise want to because he is unable to articulate the necessary tact, compassion, and diplomacy through his own words. He will often need speech writers to soften and smooth his tone for him as he is unable to do that for himself. In fact, his own words will often cause more insult to injury rather than healing or reassuring the public.
- DJT’s Juno-Chiron-Jupiter Retrograde stellium in Libra is in the 6th house of his administration’s chart – This commitment to practical service has the potential to heal a LOT of injustices and inequalities…and the calls for him to do so will increase and intensify. But the question is…will he? Will he bring matters to balance or keep any imbalances or inequalities to continue?
- This stellium is square the administration’s Capricorn Pluto in its 9th house – the administration’s power center. The administration power could be rooted in its role as an establishment-breaker or replacer…but that will depend on Trump’s ability to follow through on his plans in order to make things work. If he is really serious on taking down the establishment, he’ll need to honor and serve the will of the everyday citizens. But if he ends up aligning with the establishment in any way, it will compromise his efforts to serve his supporters well.
SUMMARY:
This is going to be quite an adventure. The Trump administration will be a truly unconventional one which will change the United States role in the world and will change the role of other nation states in the world as result. This will NOT be an easy or fun ride. In fact, it will be a downright scary one for many of us as the U.S. shifts from a world police presence to an insular, independent presence in the world. But only time will tell whether these changes are for the better or the worse.
Trump and his administration will need to be wary of hypocrisy, making sure they aren’t accusing others of what they are doing themselves. To this point, they’ll need to make sure they are creating and acting upon original ideas and taking steps to achieve their goals. If at any point Trump and his administration do not follow through on their word or pull too much from others instead of coming up with their own ideas, there will be swift public pushback and possibly even public rejection – something Trump is NOT used to dealing with and will not take well.
This will be an intensely guarded and secretive administration. Much like Trump himself, trust will be reserved for the inner circle as this administration will be very thin-skinned when it comes to criticism and judgment from outside its ranks. And if any of that criticism and judgment come from within, you’d better believe it will be cleared away sooner than later.
If the Trump administration can follow through on its work for the people, it could be a positive experience for many within the United States. But if this president and administration ignore the people or worse, if they don’t follow through for us, it could be a very challenging four years ahead.
We’ll see.
Thanks for reading and sharing Signs and Numbers. Until next post…
