As we move firmly into Sun in Aquarius, many of us may find ourselves assessing (or re-assessing) our associations and affiliations. Now that the strong goal and plan-creation energy of Capricorn has eased considerably, it has made way for the early implementation of those plans. And in taking those beginning stages, we may find ourselves looking at the bigger pictures of our lives, hyper-aware of our participation and roles in groups and organizations, and wondering exactly what our roles are…or maybe even if we want to continue those roles or to continue being part of whatever we’ve been a part of. We may also find ourselves looking at our social circles, wondering if our acquaintances and friends are making positive or ‘healthy challenge’ contributions to our lives. This assessment is occurring on both personal and collective levels as society, culture, and humanity as well and what each of those means to us is being reconsidered. And we’re not just cutting ties – we’re also assessing our options for new ones we may want to create, carefully examining and comparing our options to see what aligns with our plans and goals.
The big questions are: Are we really up to what we say we are up to…or are we talking without walking our talk? And if we aren’t really wanting to get done what we say we are wanting to get done, when are we going to get honest about it?
Venus in Sagittarius is an interesting influence because in this position, it encourages the presence of truth and honesty for love to flourish. Now is a time to be completely honest and open with ourselves and with others about what we are really up to and committed to being, doing, and having in our lives as intended by the plans we created for the New Year. Now we get to come to awakening, discovery, and awareness of just what it will take to make those plans and goals reality over these next few weeks and months of 2011. Many of us will find the humanitarian energy and “big picture” perspective of Aquarius powerfully present around and among us (with the Sun, Mars, Neptune, and Chiron all currently travelling through the sign’s influence), as we evaluate our associations of all sorts. And in tandem with Venus passing through Sagittarius, it’s more likely that we are exploring our individuality and independence – our personal freedom and authenticity of expression – in and through that evaluation process. This would not only be in our professional associations, but also our personal ones, including our circle(s) of friends. Now is a wonderful opportunity to recognize what rings true for us and what is truly in alignment with our plans and goals for the year. Now is a chance for us to assess our support structures and resources to find out exactly what it’s going to take for us to fulfill the goals we created for this New Year. As mentioned last week, the time for creating the intentions and goals is done. Now begins the planning and initial stages of implementing those created plans.
Of course, recognizing what it will take to have our goals and intentions be realized doesn’t necessarily mean that we will (easily) accept what it will take to have those desired results actually manifest in and for our lives. This period can be difficult if we resist the necessary changes or resist the presence of people in our lives that are encouraging us to face the realities of ourselves and our commitments to what we say we are committed to. This year more than ever, we may find ourselves really being confronted to be real and truly loving with others…which means we’ll have to be real and truly loving with ourselves first. Unless we are really ready to look at ourselves in the mirror and be honest about our intentions and motivations, we will find this next few weeks a very challenging period as the people around us and the activities we participate in may nudge us to reveal our real objectives…or they may expose them openly to others whether we like it or not. The presence of Aquarius is full of surprises and revelations, and they will likely abound in these next few weeks, especially from the New Moon in Aquarius to Full Moon in Leo period (February 2nd through February 18th). Exactly what those surprises will be has yet to be seen, but be aware of their heightened potential on a personal and/or collective level…and how much those surprises may affect us will very much depend on how honest we are being with ourselves when they arise.
So whatever you’ve been planning and talking about, find yourself a good pair of walking shoes in the next few weeks. It’ll be time to walk your talk soon – you want to be ready.
