Venus in Capricorn has been in retrograde motion since December 21st, giving you an opportunity to look at the state of your one-on-one relationships and partnerships of all kinds to see how you are responsible for where things stand.
Yes, I said you.
This may be a challenging time for you, especially if you aren’t used to looking at yourself and how you may be instrumental in creating your experience of your relationship(s). It can be easy to blame the other person for all that isn’t going well between the two of you. It can even be easy to argue with that person when they are blaming you. Yet, it’s rarely easy to look at ourselves and say “Yeah, I did that”.
As the Capricorn Sun conjuncts Venus Retrograde (exact at 4:25a PST) on January 11th, 2014, the Light of Truth may expose what you have been unwilling to see about yourself and your role(s) in your relationships. You may finally need to take responsibility for your part and deal with yourself and your thoughts, behaviors, and/or actions and the effects they’ve had on the people you interact with.
This is also a time to notice if you and your partner(s) are on the same page.
- Do you want the same things out of the partnership?
- Do you share the same or similar goals
- Are you both/each getting what you want or need out of the partnership – is the relationship productive, fruitful, or resourceful for you, them, both, or neither of you?
It is important for you to be honest about whether or not you are getting what you need in your relationships, and equally important for you to take responsibility in asking for it. Yet, it may be most important for you to understand who you are being and what you are doing to have the current dynamics/circumstances being what they are. This is not a time for you to play victim or helpless. This is a time for you to get clear about your goals and intentions for your partnership(s) and the reasons behind them so you can better align yourself with them.
Your alignment with your goals and intentions is especially significant because Saturn in Scorpio moves into exact sextile aspects with Venus shortly before the Sun-Venus Rx conjunction at 2:44a PST and with The Sun shortly afterward at 5:38a PST, giving you the chance to clear away old personal boundary structures in order to build new ones which will better support the fulfillment of your current (or new) relationship/partnership objectives.
This Sun-Venus Retrograde-Saturn combination brings a distinctly stern and serious energy to any relationship matters at hand, and though it is likely to have you taking a good, hard look at your role in the current state of your partnerships of all kinds, trust that it’s a hard look for the better. This combination is another component of what makes this start of 2014 not a very easy one. However, by taking the challenging steps now, you will be pleased if not amazed at what takes shape for you as the year progresses.
