I found myself in a conversation the other day in which a few of us were discussing holiday shopping and if and how we tend to go about it. It got me thinking about how we go about doing things in our lives.
Mars is the planet of action in our astrology chart, and the astrological sign and house Mars resides in within our charts can reveal a great deal in how we take action in our lives and what motivates us to take those actions. Our personal numeric energies also have influence on how the active of energy of our Mars placement plays out in our lives.
For example, numerologically, I am a life path 7 with a 3 personality, and I have Mars in Scorpio in my personal 3rd house ruled by Libra. I could go into even more technical jargon of what that means, but instead I’ll explain what that means through how it influences my shopping for others:
1) I tend to either shop for everyone or shop for no one each holiday – just to keep it fair. After all, I don’t want to leave anyone out.
2) If I do shop, I quietly and secretly make mental notes about certain events or occurrences during the year which I’ll reference in my search for that unique and special gift for a person. (All the time I spend with my family and friends throughout the year – I’m enjoying our time together and I’m doing research while we’re doing whatever we’re doing. I’m always collecting information. Always.)
3) I don’t like to make a trip out for each thing for each person, so I’ll make a list then I’ll go out to do all of my shopping in one big, intensely focused, and sometimes hours-long mission of a shopping trip, rather than going out for each individual item if at all possible.
4) I’m always looking for the highest quality at the best value for the price, and of course, the most aesthetically pleasing and elegantly beautiful item I can find for its purpose, unless I know a very specific item a person wants.
5) I wrap everything as soon as possible just so I can have it done and I don’t have to think about it anymore until I need to give the gifts to their recipients. I’ll wrap things in elegant beauty as well.
So, this is how I go about shopping for holiday gifts (if I go holiday shopping at all). Yet this gives some insights into how I take action in other aspects of my life as well. It’s how the power of Mars shows up in my own astrological makeup.
Research and/or insight into your own astrological makeup will reveal quite a bit about how you go about things in your own life, as well just how much power and influence your Mars and your actions have in your chart and therefore, in your life. Whether or not it affects or changes how you go about your holiday shopping is up to you.
