Saturn Retrograde in Scorpio has proven interesting these last few weeks, helping each of us focus our energies on what is needed to achieve our desired results and to accomplish our desired goals. For the last 4.5 months, this energy has been focused inward on our own individual and internal selves, encouraging us to explore our emotional depths in order to learn and understand how to discipline our internal selves to bring about the external results we are determined to have in and for our lives.
Now it’s time to shift that focus back out into the world.
Saturn in Scorpio returns to direct motion this evening, July 7th, at 10:12p PDT. When it does, it shifts your responsibility back onto your outward emotional expression of yourself. You’ve been asked under Saturn Retrograde to take responsibility for your deepest emotional truths, but now with Saturn Direct, you get to take responsibility for how you express that emotional truth in the outside world. You may now get to bring that same internal focus and discipline to your external emotional expression so that it can be productive in aligning you with your goals rather than being destructive and taking you away from them.
Saturn in Scorpio’s shift from retrograde to direct is a powerful one, as it will likely be apparent to others that you’ve established a new level of emotional depth and stability, that is, if you’ve done the work. The emotional work that needed to be done to get yourself focused on your real motives behind your goals wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t intended to be. It was meant to be challenging – it was meant to be confronting. It was meant to be all those really tough things that work can be, and it was ultimately intended to strengthen and prepare you for your journey to implement and establish what you really want for yourself and your life.
Saturn will be in Scorpio until September of 2015. Until then, you may continue to be confronted by challenges to your goals and ambitions – challenges which will call upon you to go within yourself, into your emotional and spiritual darkness to bring Light to your real truth. The retrograde afforded you an opportunity to do this work on your terms.
Now, with Saturn direct, you may have challenges coming to you from the outside, encouraging you to transform the origins then stabilize the foundations of your own personal power and influence. In fact, the concepts of power and influence may never mean the same things to you again after Saturn completes its current run through Scorpio, especially with its mutual reception with Pluto in Capricorn. This is a profoundly transformative time, and the world is undergoing a vast metamorphosis.
Understand that as the world continues to undergo large-scale changes, you are being called upon to adapt and mature emotionally and spiritually. Saturn in Scorpio direct will likely encourage you – through external events – to find or establish emotional stability within yourself (if you haven’t already) so you’ll able to weather these changes around you.
There will be a couple more chances for you to do some inside-out work on this deeper emotional-spiritual level, with the next opportunity coming in March 2014 when Saturn in Scorpio next enters retrograde motion. But for now, it’s time to take a few lessons on this subject from the outside world. Allow yourself to experience the events in your life in ways that reveal to you where and how you need to discipline and mature your emotions to achieve your goals and fulfill your dreams.
Saturn turning direct in Scorpio may be a great time to learn from the world just how far you’ve come emotionally, and just how much more work you get to do within yourself – now and especially come March 2014. Do yourself a favor – don’t resist the experience of being responsible for your deepest emotional truths. Embrace it instead, and you’ll be amazed at how you are able to find stability in your life, even in the midst of change.
