The energy of this 2026 Pisces New Moon reaching its maximum phase at 6:23p PST on 18th March 2026, is very similar to that moment in the Star Wars movie, Return of the Jedi, when the Emperor Palpatine tells Luke to “feel (his) anger” in an effort to coax Luke to the Dark Side of the Force. New Moons generally bring opportunities for new beginnings and fresh starts, yet this one also brings opportunities for do-overs and second chances… but under the influence of this 2026 Pisces New Moon phase, those second chances won’t come easily.
The astrology of this New Moon phase isn’t aggressively harsh, but it’s definitely not as kind or dreamy as some might expect or assume. Yes, Pisces’ energy represents the interconnection or Oneness of everyone and everything, making this 2026 Pisces New Moon phase a kind of big deal. Yet in addition to the energy of the Moon conjunct Sun in Pisces…
- The Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries that was exact a few weeks ago is still in effect (1-3°), forcing us out of our comfort zones of delusion and distraction to face the realities of our lives and the world around us;
- It’s part of a sequence of Aquarius Pluto semi-sextile Pisces Vesta semi-sextile Aries Neptune conjunct Saturn semi-sextile Taurus Ceres (1-4°) that indicates the destruction or transformation of (regressive) societal norms, to a which leads to a renewed dedication to awakening the collective of humanity to the interconnection of all beings and things, which leads to a new perspective of reality and one’s place within that reality, which leads to new personal values and a changed sense of personal responsibility for self and others;
- Chiron and Eris are in conjunction in Aries (24°), encouraging us to embrace the strength we find in working through any self-identity wounds we may have, though those wounds are likely to be triggered in a big way during this time;
- There’s a Juno-Uranus trine in earth signs (27-28° Capricorn and Taurus, respectively) which reveals a commitment to the sudden acquisition or the possible disruption of physical resources and a potentially surprising shift in a societal hierarchy that’s defined by resource accessibility and/or availability;
- The transiting North Node conjunct Mercury Retrograde in Pisces provides another opportunity for us individually and collectively to change course – to go back and correct the course(s) our lives, present and future, if we missed any turns previously.
These transits are important because when we blend these energies together, we may recognize and understand that are in a difficult period of rapid and massive change – personal, collective, and planetary/global. We’ve made some choices, but as we’ve been forced to remove our rose-colored glasses, we’ve discovered that some of those choices may not have been the best choices we could have made for ourselves. The 2026 Pisces New Moon presents opportunities for us to take a couple steps back in order to adjust or correct our course, and we’d best take them as we aren’t likely to get many more chances to make these adjustments, individually and/or collectively, anytime soon.
To make the best choices we can, it’s important to allow ourselves to reconnect fully with our intuitions, which requires us to feel our emotions first. That means allowing ourselves to feel ‘the hard stuff’ – the sadness, the anger, the frustration, the grief… By allowing the emotions we often suppress to be expressed, we may find ourselves flowing with and through them, transforming them into inspiration for our next life steps. Then, we may find that on the other side of those emotions is not only inspiration, but also clearer and louder intuition that guides us to our deepest and truest selves and the Highest expressions and embodiments of those selves in the world within us, through us, and around us.
That’s the challenge of this 2026 Pisces New Moon – to choose our emotional release and intuitive (re)alignment as we won’t likely be able to change the course of our lives again once this New Moon phase ends, especially with the Sun’s ingress to Aries and Mercury in Pisces return to direct motion both occurring on 20th March. The energy of this 2026 Pisces New Moon will be felt most strongly between the 15th and 21st of March 2026, and the choices we make during this time will have lasting consequences, for better and worse, as our thoughts, actions, and words will indeed affect not only one person or entity, but everyone & everything on the planet in very experiential & tangible ways.
