This transit has been anticipated for so long, it’s almost anticlimactic. Yet, here we are.
Mars in Gemini made conjunction with Uranus in Gemini at 2:07a EDT on 4th July 2026.
Yes, Mars brings action and passion, and sometimes assertion or aggression. Uranus brings evolution, often through collaboration, and sometimes through innovation and/or rebellion against social or societal norms. Uranus also can represent the intellectual focus of humanity-at-large, and with Mars, can represent humanity acting upon a collective point of focus (i.e. – revolution?). However, it’s important to understand what is needed to catalyze these energies.
It’s something I think a lot of these predictions and preparations missed.
This Mars-Uranus conjunction is happening in GEMINI. Gemini is mutable air, and known for being the “student” or “child” energy of the Zodiac. Intelligent, intellectual, inquisitive. Communicative energy.
Where we were looking for major action events, we really needed to be looking for major ideological events. We can see what is being said through geopolitical negotiations, through national events (such as funeral processions and citizen protests), through the World Cup matches, etc. There are so many clear messages about what is actually true versus what is narrative manipulation. If you take the time to look closely, you may realize that what you hear may not be the factually correct version(s) of what is happening, and that the factually correct version(s) may actually be more genuinely popular than the narrative you’re being told.
In regard to my home country, the United States, there have been a LOT of articles and videos about this 4th of July holiday and the 250th anniversary of the founding of this nation – what might happen, what people hoped would happen, what people could (or should) have expected for the day. A lot of these predictions warned of major events occurring that may be incendiary if not explosive.
What was actually experienced?
- A major heat wave in the northeastern U.S. canceled the scheduled 250-year celebratory parade in Washington D.C.
- Hundreds of white nationalists and white supremacists marched on major streets in Washington D.C. with anti-immigrant and racist slogans.
- The “Great American State Fair” in Washington D.C. was shut down for safety precautions due to severe (thunder)storm warnings.
Here’s where this gets especially interesting.
Though the Mars-Uranus conjunction was exact on the 4th, the United States’ 250th Solar Return wasn’t exact until 3:44a EDT today, 5th July 2026. A solar return is when the Sun returns to the natal position of the entity or person. In this case, that entity is the United States of America. Mars and Uranus will be separated by 42 minutes when the U.S. Solar Return is exact, with Mars ahead in the progression. That, and both planets will still be trine Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius at 4°47’ at the time the solar return Is exact. (more on this later)
It seems people have been looking for a major action event to take place, but they’re not looking in the right place for it.
It’s both already happening and it’s yet to happen.
It’s already happening in governments and media. It’s happening in the (lack of) mass communication. It’s already happening in the elections. It’s happening in diplomatic negotiations (or the lack thereof). It’s already happening in the rules and laws and the semantics of who gets to do what.
It’s happening. It’s been happening. It’s still happening…
…and it’s all waiting for us to pay attention, then to take action to do something about what we’re hearing, seeing, learning…
… but the challenge here is that people have been so conditioned to abide by the rules and to follow what others tell them to do out of fear of being treated with disdain or disregard by the U.S. Government, they’ve lost the ability to think, speak, and act for themselves. Very few people are willing to test the system alone, without others to back them up or stand alongside them.
At this point, the unexpected part of this whole mess would be any significant group of “we the people” (something in the tens or hundreds of thousands) actually taking action to do something to either fully align with or challenge what is happening. However, by not taking action against it, we’re inactively aligning with it. It’s alignment through ignorance of thought and/or avoidance of communication. It’s alignment by convenience or comfort – of not having to think about what is coming because it hasn’t happened to them.
The pushback is happening in other parts of the world (Algeria, Columbia, etc), but not here. Not yet.
Yet is the keyword.
This is the “yet to happen” part of my earlier statement.
This Mars-Uranus conjunction also planted seeds for future events that are very soon to come, and probably sooner than many of us might expect. With what’s already happening, it won’t take much for certain theories to become our collective realities. History has shown us that it will repeat if given the conditions to do so… and that’s exactly what is being set up now. Don’t let the “advances in technology” fool you. If anything, our current and developing technologies are making it easier to repeat the past.
All of these events are part of the aftermath of the United States Pluto Return series of 2022, the final exact Pluto Return occurring on 28th December 2022 (27°33’ Capricorn). It would be irresponsible of me to talk about either of these charts without taking us back to the United States’ Pluto Return in 2022.
Why?
Because both Mars and Uranus were in Gemini in the U.S. natal chart (21°22’ and 8°55’, respectively). A Mars Return was in effect in 2022 during the December 2022 United States Pluto Return (Mars in Gemini 9°40’ Rx); and another Gemini Mars and Uranus Return is happening now, during the 250th U.S. Solar Return (4°37’ and 3°55’ respectively at the time the 2026 Solar Return in exact). The fact the two planets are in exact-to-close conjunction this time around make these returns more profound than even during the U.S. natal chart!
The 2022 U.S. Pluto Return is significant now because what is happening today is the realization of the choice made in December 2022. The United States chose to double-down on the social and societal principles it was founded upon. The white supremacists and nationalists marching today were reflective of the country’s founding origins, threaded through every policy decision we are witnessing in the three branches of the U.S. Government at this very moment. It’s fascinating how the currently-transiting Mercury is in Cancer (25°05’) is both conjunct the U.S. natal Mercury position (Cancer 24°11’) and opposite the U.S. natal Pluto position (Capricorn 27°33’) at the nation’s 2026 Solar Return – this is the country speaking up, saying “What you see and hear today is what this nation stands for. It is what this nation is emotionally invested in. It is what is in its heart, at its core.” What we are seeing and hearing is, in fact, the social and societal norm the United States has chosen to uphold. Coming out of the U.S. Pluto Return, it is the fate the U.S. chose to stick with, rather than allowing its (emotional) evolution, transformation, and change of course.
Beyond what I’ve already mentioned, I’m not going to get into further details of what has been happening in the last few days and weeks leading up to this day. What I will encourage you to do is to pause, look, and listen into what is happening in your families, your communities, your counties, states, nations, your governments (especially U.S. Congress, .U.S. Supreme Court, and U.S. Executive Branch), in geopolitics, in the world, on this planet… do your due diligence, seek out information from sources that you wouldn’t usually look to for information. This isn’t about taking on beliefs that aren’t your own. It’s about understanding what others are thinking, saying, and acting upon. It’s about seeing, hearing, and recognizing what is already in motion.
For those of you who love the ridiculous phrase, “playing 3D chess” or whatever, it’s time for you to use your brains to recognize how the game is already being played. The question is whether or not you’re going to allow yourself to be fully conscious of the game, and how you’re going to play your part in it (if you choose to play).
Because now more than ever, it’s time to play the game.
Using “game” to refer to this time in our global history may seem childish, but there is nothing about what is happening right now that is childish. The entire planet, and humanity upon it, is at a crossroads. There is a power shift in progress, yet there is still a question about how that power balance is going to be established and/or upheld.
In the coming days, weeks, and months, look for data hacks and revelations, look for sneaky legislation addendums and subsections that forward agendas that are otherwise being blocked, notice trends in what is and isn’t being talked about or focused on in the mainstream media, etc. These are how things move forward, but they also give clues to how the plans of the powers-that-be could be disrupted.
The fact that the United States is experiencing this 2026 Mars-Uranus conjunction and double return in Gemini is important. The United States was founded on its emotional investment in intellectual ideals and materially-focused principles (capitalism and taxation that led the colonies to fight for “freedom”). The physical/military/colonial actions may now be happening on a global scale, but it’s the emotional investment and those mental/intellectual principles that are at the root of the game, and that game is what driving the shifts happening now.
We would be wise to remember that this is all game-play to those in power, and we would also be wise to remember that their material and physical victories are seen by them as supremacy in the mental, intellectual, and technological arenas, which is emotionally satisfying for them. What has changed is that now, while the actions are the physical implementation, that implementation can easily be disrupted through technology or media. It doesn’t have to be through physical/material/combat means. The people have other ways, even in the face of physical hostility and material struggle.
It’s important to acknowledge that the events of (and around) the 4th of July 2026 have planted the seeds for what we’ll be seeing in the coming weeks and months. This day – this 2026 Mars-Uranus conjunction in Gemini and the 250th United States Solar Return are sending a powerful message that the United States is, in many ways, back where it started; and in other ways, it’s about to experience a transformation that it could never have imagined.
Here are some of the notable transits occurring between the U.S. natal chart and the 2026 U.S. Solar Return:
Natal Capricorn Eris conjunct SR Capricorn Black Moon Lilith in natal 1st house – The United States’ aggressive determination to be a unique and unprecedented global success will be driven by and/or revealing of its emotional shadows in the year to come. There is a lot within its own (domestic) house that will need to be addressed and resolved before it can fully achieve what it’s seeking on the global stage.
Natal Aquarius South Node conjunct SR Aquarius Juno in natal 2nd house – The U.S. is committed to its old ambitions, and is possibly blind to how the world is evolving. The U.S. may not be seeing how the developing world is developing collaborative workarounds, trying to continue on without the U.S. The impact on the U.S. domestic resource front may prove interesting.
Natal Pisces Sedna conjunct SR Pisces Moon in natal 3rd house – The resilience of the United States will be tested in major ways this year, as the rest of the world will continue to grow emotionally tired of the U.S. ignorance of the interconnection of everyone and everything on every level, especially in regard to the condition of the planet. The more the U.S. tries to prove its (desired) place in the world, the more the world rolls its eyes and increases its efforts to disregard it in order to protect what is shared amongst all peoples and nations. The world is no longer emotionally invested in the U.S. as it once was, and despite the U.S. efforts to maintain its central presence, the world is turning its energies toward sovereign equity, mutual respect, and true collaboration.
Natal Cancer Mercury conjunct SR Cancer Mercury (return) in natal 9th house – The U.S. may or may not understand that it is driven by emotion. It would be wise for anyone living within and working with the U.S. government to understand this. As the plans shared by the U.S. (and its “allies”) are implemented, the responses to the successes or failures of said plans are and will continue to be emotion-driven.
Natal Leo Black Moon Lilith conjunct SR Leo Venus in natal 9th house – The U.S. emotional shadow has always been ego-driven. It needs to be the center of attention. With transiting Venus in Leo for this 250th Solar Return, it may mistake attention for allyship. However, this may be the year the U.S. ego gets the better of it as its partner(s) won’t mistake ego for power. In fact, “allies” may exploit the misconception. This could benefit the partner(s), but whether or not it benefits the U.S. will be seen over the course of the year ahead.
Natal Libra Saturn conjunct SR Libra Part of Fortune in natal 10th house – The U.S. may find that its good fortune is largely determined by its (strategic) partners in the coming year. Over the next twelve months, it’s likely that its partners will be setting the rules of engagement in matters of diplomacy, negotiation, and peace. The U.S. global standing will be affected by its choice(s) of partners/allies, challenging the U.S. belief that it is a good partner that chooses good partners.
From a stance of curiosity alone, I look forward to seeing how the second half of 2026 plays out for the United States, domestically and globally. Those of us who live in America will be first-hand witnesses to an incredible, historical time, and the rest of the world will be witness to an extraordinary shift in global power.
