The Aries New Moon is quite a special one. With Aries being the first sign of the Western Zodiac, its New Moon represents the beginning of a New Year of sorts – a renewal of our emotional energies. Since the Moon is considered emotional/water energy, think of this 2016 Aries New Moon, at maximum phase at 4:25a PDT on Thursday 7th April 2016, as an “April Shower” for your soul.
That said, it’s likely to be one hot shower. Despite the Moon’s water/emotional energy, the Sun is a fire energy. And Aries is a fire/creative sign ruled by Mars, which happens to be in Sagittarius at this time. Sag is all about growth and expansion, so many of the actions being taken right now are intended to create new projects and begin new journeys which will grow and expand your self-identity, autonomy, and self-leadership. Under the influence of this 2016 Aries New Moon, you’re being asked to actively reinvent yourself, redefine yourself, and/or renew yourself. And with Mars’ assertive if not aggressive energy, these new directions will not be moved into gently – if necessary, they’ll be forged by force (flood of emotions).
