Happy New Year to each of you!
2011 is, numerologically speaking, a 4 universal year, meaning we are ushering in a collective year of stability and security. Not that we’ll actually have that stability and security, but what we will have is the strong desire for it and the efforts to establish solid foundations for our collective pursuits will be apparent. We may also notice that in the bigger picture of things, many organizations, institutions and governments will be making attempts to solidify and secure certain plans of action or to implement new guidelines, rules, regulations, laws and such. Some examples that quickly come to mind: The Obama Health Care Plan, and international relations within and between many countries (North and South Korea, Afghanistan, etc.). We may notice that this year more than most, we are doing our best to build things to stabilze, to be solid and secure, and to last or endure for many years to come.
What is most interesting about 4 years is not what gets established, but rather, what happens in the following 5 year as everything that was built in the 4 year has its integrity tested. Whatever is built with strength and truth will sustain through the changes and surprises of the universal 5 year. Whatever is built with haste, thoughtlessness, or deceit will likely collapse in the upcoming 5 energy of 2012. It’s an amazing time as we are in position to see what really started in 2008 beginning to grow and expand into structures and orders, and we prepare to see how many of those structures and orders are real, true, and enduring.
On an individual level, it is important to see not only what you are committed to building but how you are building it. As many of us make note of our goals and plans for the New Year, we are quick to list the things we want for ourselves and our lives, yet we aren’t always attentive to what our true intentions are behind our desires, how we intend to go about them, or who we want to be as we are bringing them about. Getting something done is one thing – getting it done to last over time is another.
The Capricorn New Moon arrives early morning on Tuesday, January 4th (1:03a to be exact, the digits of which also reduce to a 4, go figure!), almost reinforcing this goal-oriented energy of the New Year. It’s the opportunity to not only create new ideas and goals, but to also establish plans to accomplish them. Though there is much out there to speak otherwise, such as “The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray” or “People plan and God laughs”, etc., moving forward with no plan at all gives one much less of an opportunity for success. Change is the only constant, yet it is better to have a plan that is constantly being adjusted than no plan that has you floating on the wind….that is, unless floating is your plan. This could be a challenging time for those of you who are resistant to discipline and focus, especially self-discipline. However, those of you who are clear in your intentions and commitments will find this a very energizing and exciting time to begin bringing your plans for the New Year into manifestation. And don’t let yourself be disappointed if what you want doesn’t show up right away – this is only the beginning. You’ve got all year.
Until next week…
