abstract-summer-background_M10bunO_ - graphicstockAfter six weeks in retrograde motion, Venus in Leo has returned to direct motion as of 1:29a PDT this morning, Sunday, 6th September 2015 (14.38). When it did, it took us out of relationship ‘feedback mode’ and put us back into relationship proactivity mode.

What makes Venus in Leo powerful is that it calls upon you to acknowledge and step into your own creative power and unique brilliance. It practically forces you to recognize which of your relationships encourage and celebrate your self-expression…and which ones which do not. While Venus in Leo was in retrograde motion, you were receiving feedback from your relationship partners about whether or not you have freedom to express yourself brilliantly and creatively within the relationship without creating significant imbalance in some way. Based on the feedback you received, Venus Direct is asking, “Now that you better know and understand your roles in your partnership(s), what are you going to do about it? What types of relationships do you want to have or create now?”

Many of us say we want our relationships of all kinds to be equal, fair, and just. We talk about equality and balance as ideals, yet many of us continue to compete or fight with our partners or others over a variety of matters in order to claim or maintain power and control over each other. Many of us are, sadly, more concerned with being right and in control than being in balanced, peaceful, and healthy relationships.

We are currently in a Virgo 8 Sun period, which makes these power struggles more apparent in our day-to-day interactions. Yes, this energy could be applied to powerfully seeking solutions to problems at hand and healing the practical functionality of our everyday lives. However, if you look at current world and national events, you may notice that more people are choosing to control or manipulate the current systems and circumstances to their advantage (or at least they’re trying to). They speak as if they have the absolute answers to the challenges we are facing without considering intellectual diplomacy, logical fairness, or applied equality. This is where Venus in Leo comes into play.

Venus Direct in Leo says, “Okay. You say you want balance, equality, fairness and peace, so what are you going to do make that happen?” This is a call to employ diplomatic means in which everyone’s voices and perspectives are equally acknowledged and accounted for in order to find a solution that actually and practically works. That’s not to say that everyone will get their way completely, which is why this is not the road being employed by quite a few people right now. Many of them have been conditioned to be ego-driven and are more interested in being right and maintaining their advantages than in making compromises to make systems and processes work. They’d rather fight against change and/or continue allowing the self-benefiting loopholes to remain than create new systems or make the existing systems more efficient, effective, and respectful of all.

This 2015 Venus Direct in Leo is asking us to seek balance in one-on-one interactions of all kinds, yet also to seek that balance by truly equal, fair and just means with fair and just intentions.

There are two transits involving Venus in Leo at the time of its return to direct motion:

Venus quincunx Capricorn Pluto Retrograde (13.07) – Changes in societal, corporate, political, and governmental structures are indirectly changing personal and professional partnerships and relationships. As more people are feeling courageous in expressing themselves about societal matters and how they feel about the structural changes that are occurring, more of us are making changes to our relationships. As result, on a personal level, you may be recognizing that some people aren’t who you thought they were…and in some cases, you may be recognizing that you may not be who you thought you were.

Venus semi-sextile Virgo 8 Sun – We addressed this a bit above, yet more specifically, Venus illuminates relationship imbalances and urges the Sun to seek solutions. The questions here are…1) Are the solutions you’re coming up with truly balancing the scales and serving the practical well-being of both yourself and others? 2) Are the solutions you are coming up with intellectually and logically empowering you and others, and is the creative self-expression of both you and others being acknowledged as you make efforts to implement them? 3) Are the solutions you’re coming up with genuinely service-driven (healing, balancing) or are they ego-driven (competitive, combative, controlling)? Your true motives will be apparent in your practice, so be sure that you’re clear and aware of what you really and truly think and feel as you’re sending those ideas and beliefs out in to the world through your one-on-one interactions with others.

This 2015 Venus Direct in Leo doesn’t only call upon you to stand up for your individual self-expression. It also calls upon you to make diplomatic, fair, and just changes to your one-on-one relationships of all kinds which encourage creativity and allow acknowledgment for who you and others are in the day-to-day of your lives. Take time to make sure that your creative self-expression contributes to the finding or creating of fair, practical, and peaceful solutions which heal the everyday societal and systematic challenges which no longer serve us well.
